اَمِ اتَّخَذُوۡا مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰہِ شُفَعَآءَ ۚ قُلۡ اَوَلَوۡ کَانُوۡا لَا یَمۡلِکُوۡنَ شَیۡـًٔا وَّلَا یَعۡقِلُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Have they taken intercessors beside Allah? Say, ‘Even if they have no power over anything and no intelligence?’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

کیا انہوں نے اللہ کی مرضی کے خلاف کوئی شفاعتی اپنا رکھے ہیں؟ تُو کہہ دے کہ کیا اس صورت میں بھی جب کہ وہ کسی چیز کے مالک نہیں اور نہ ہی کوئی عقل رکھتے ہیں؟

French

Ont-ils pris des intercesseurs en dehors d’Allāh ? Dis : « Même s’ils n’ont aucun pouvoir sur rien, ni aucune intelligence ? »

Haben sie Fürsprecher angenommen statt Allah? Sprich: "Selbst wenn sie keine Macht über irgendetwas haben und keinen Verstand?"

[b]他们除安拉以外, 另采取说情者? 你说: “他们甚至对任何东西都没有主权, 也不了解 (任何事物),[1141] (他们怎么说情)?”

17:57.

由于人类的灵魂是不死的, 他们受到警告说, 不要做使灵魂可能堕落的事情。在所有恶行中最可恶的事是给安拉配上 “同等的崇拜对象。”

Si sono presi intercessori all'infuori di Allah? Di': «Anche se non hanno alcun potere sopra alcunché e non capiscono nulla?»

Spanish

¿Se han buscado intercesores fuera de Al‑lah? Diles: “¿Habéis actuado así aunque no tienen poder sobre nada, ni inteligencia?”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

کیا انہوں نے اللہ کے سوا کچھ شفیع قرار دے چھوڑے ہیں؟ کہہ دے گو ان کے قبضہ میں کوئی طاقت نہ ہو اور نہ ان کو (کسی قسم) کی سمجھ بوجھ ہو (پھر بھی تم انہیں شفیع قرار دو گے) ۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[d]Have they taken intercessors beside Allah? Say, ‘Even if they have no power over anything and no understanding?’[2581]

17:57.

As the human soul is immortal, man is warned against committing deeds which might vitiate it. The most heinous of all evil deeds is the setting up of 'partners' with God.

Commentary:

As the human soul is immortal, man is warned against committing deeds which might vitiate it and which are displeasing to God. The most heinous of all evil deeds is the setting up of equals with Him and the adoring of false gods.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

کیا اُس خدا کو چھوڑ کر اِن لوگوں نے دوسروں کو شفیع بنا رکھا ہے؟ ان سے کہو، کیا وہ شفاعت کریں گے خواہ اُن کے اختیار میں کچھ نہ ہو اور وہ سمجھتے بھی نہ ہوں؟

English - Sahih

Or have they taken other than Allah as intercessors? Say, "Even though they do not possess [power over] anything, nor do they reason?"

کیا انہوں نے الله کےسوا اور حمایتی بنا رکھے ہیں کہہ دوکیا اگرچہ وہ کچھ بھی اختیار نہ رکھتے ہوں اور نہ عقل رکھتے ہوں

Or have they taken besides Allah intercessors? Say, "Even though they were not possessing anything, and not they understand?"
