اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا بِالذِّکۡرِ لَمَّا جَآءَہُمۡ ۖ وَاِنَّہٗ لَکِتٰبٌ عَزِیۡزٌ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Those who disbelieve in the Reminder when it comes to them are the losers. And, truly, it is a mighty Book.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یقیناً وہ لوگ (سزا پائیں گے) جنہوں نے ذکر کا، جب وہ اُن کے پاس آیا، انکار کردیا حالانکہ وہ ایک بڑی غالب اور مکرم کتاب کی صورت میں تھا۔

French

Ceux qui refusent de croire au Rappel lorsqu’il leur vient seront punis. Et en vérité, c’est un Livre puissant.

German

Diejenigen, die nicht an die Ermahnung glauben, wenn sie zu ihnen kommt (sind die Verlierenden). Und fürwahr, es ist ein ehrwürdiges Buch.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

وہ لوگ جو کہ اس ذکر (یعنی قرآن) کا جب وہ ان کے پاس آیا انکار کرتے ہیں حالانکہ وہ ایک بڑی عزت والی کتاب ہے (وہ اپنی تباہی کا سامان اپنے ہاتھوں کر رہے ہیں) ۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

Those who disbelieve in the Reminder[2637]—the Qur’an—when it has come to them are the losers. And, truly, it is a mighty Book,

The Qur’an has been called Dhikr because (a) it presents and repeats its principles and themes in different forms, thus making men remember them; (b) it reminds men of the noble teachings that were revealed in former Scriptures; and (c) by acting upon its teachings men can rise to the heights of spiritual eminence (Dhikr also meaning, honour).

English - Five Volume Translation

Those who disbelieve in the Reminder when it comes to them are the losers. And, truly, it is a mighty Book.[3590]

Commentary:

The Quran has been called ذکر (Reminder) in this verse because first, it presents and repeats its principles and themes in different forms, thus making men remember them. Secondly, because it reminds them of eternal truths that are ingrained in their nature. Thirdly, because it reminds them of the noble teachings that were revealed in former Scriptures; and fourthly, because by acting upon its teachings men can rise to the heights of spiritual eminence.

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے سامنے کلام نصیحت آیا تو انہوں نے اسے ماننے سے انکار کر دیا مگر حقیقت یہ ہے کہ یہ ایک زبردست کتاب ہے

English - Sahih

Indeed, those who disbelieve in the message after it has come to them... And indeed, it is a mighty Book.

بے شک وہ لوگ جنہوں نے نصیحت سے انکار کیا جب کہ وہ ان کے پاس آئی اور تحقیق وہ البتہ عزت والی کتاب ہے
