42:11

وَمَا ٱخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِيهِ مِن شَىْءٍ فَحُكْمُهُۥٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبِّى عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And in whatsoever you differ, the decision thereof rests with Allah. Say: ‘Such is Allah, my Lord; in Him I put my trust, and to Him I always turn.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور جس چیز میں بھی تم اختلاف کرو تو اُس کا فیصلہ اللہ ہی کے ہاتھ میں ہے۔ یہ ہے اللہ جو میرا ربّ ہے۔ اُسی پر میں توکل کرتا ہوں اور اُسی کی طرف میں جھکتا ہوں۔

French

Et dans toute affaire sur laquelle vous différez, le jugement appartient à Allāh. Dis : « Tel est Allāh, mon Seigneur ; en Lui je place ma confiance, et vers Lui je me tourne toujours. »

German

Und über was immer ihr uneins seid, die Entscheidung darüber ruht bei Allah. Das ist Allah, mein Herr; auf Ihn vertraue ich, und zu Ihm wende ich mich.

Chinese

无论你们对什么 (事情) 有了争论, 判决都归于安拉。(你们说:) 我的养主安拉是这样的; 我只信赖他, 我只归向他。

Italian

E qualunque sia il punto su cui dissentite, la decisione finale al riguardo spetta ad Allah. Di': «Tale è Allah, il mio Signore. In Lui ripongo la mia fiducia, e a Lui mi volgo sempre.»

Spanish

Y sea cual fuere aquello en lo que discrepéis, su juicio corresponde a Al-lah. Diles: “Así es Al-lah, mi Señor; en Él pongo mi confianza, y a Él siempre vuelvo”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور جس کسی (امر) میں تم اختلاف کرو اس کا آخری فیصلہ اللہ ہی کے قبضہ میں ہے یہ ہے تمہارا اللہ جو میرا بھی رب ہے۔ میں نے اسی پر توکل کیا ہے اور اُسی کی طرف میں جھکتا ہوں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And in whatsoever you differ, the final decision thereof rests with Allah. Say, ‘Such is Allah, my Lord; in Him I put my trust, and to Him I always turn.’

English - Five Volume Translation

[a]And in whatsoever you differ, the final decision thereof rests with Allah. Say: 'Such is Allah, my Lord; in Him I put my trust, and to Him I always turn.'[3609]

20:70; 39:47.

Commentary:

The verse means to say that as it has been the invariable Divine practice that whenever differences among the followers of different religions assume dangerous dimensions God sends down a new revelation to reveal His will; so now that great differences have arisen among the followers of different faiths, God has revealed the Quran to which men should now refer all their disagreements and differences for decision and judgement.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

تمہارے درمیان جس معاملہ میں بھی اختلاف ہو، اُس کا فیصلہ کرنا اللہ کا کام ہے وہی اللہ میرا رب ہے، اُسی پر میں نے بھروسہ کیا، اور اُسی کی طرف میں رجوع کرتا ہوں

English - Sahih

And in anything over which you disagree - its ruling is [to be referred] to Allah. [Say], "That is Allah, my Lord; upon Him I have relied, and to Him I turn back."

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اور جس بات میں بھی تم اختلاف کرتے ہو سو اس کا فیصلہ الله کے سپرد ہے وہی الله میرا رب ہے اسی پر میرا بھروسہ ہے اور اس کی طرف میں رجوع کرتا ہوں

And whatever you differ in it of a thing, then its ruling (is) to Allah. That (is) Allah, my Lord, upon Him I put my trust and to Him I turn.

اردہ تفصیرِ صغیر نوٹس ^*

English - Arberry

And whatever you are at variance on, the judgment thereof belongs to God. That then is God, my Lord; in Him I have put my trust, and to Him I turn, penitent.

The judgement on whatever you differ rests with Allah. Such is Allah, my Lord; in Him I have put all my trust and to Him I always turn in devotion.

In whatever matter you disagree the ultimate judgement rests with God. This is God, my Lord; in Him have I placed my trust, if to Him I turn.
