42:21

مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ نَزِدْ لَهُۥ فِى حَرْثِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ ٱلدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِۦ مِنْهَا وَمَا لَهُۥ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ مِن نَّصِيبٍ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Whoso desires the harvest of the Hereafter, We give him increase in his harvest; and whoso desires the harvest of this world, We give him thereof, but in the Hereafter he will have no share.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

جو آخرت کی کھیتی پسند کرتا ہے ہم اُس کے لئے اُس کی کھیتی میں اضافہ کردیتے ہیں اور جو دنیا کی کھیتی چاہتا ہے ہم اُسی میں سے اُسے دیتے ہیں اس حال میں کہ آخرت میں اس کے لئے کوئی حصہ نہیں ہوگا۔

French

Quiconque désire la moisson de l’au-delà, Nous lui accordons une augmentation de sa moisson, et quiconque désire la moisson de ce monde, Nous lui en accordons sa part, mais dans l’au-delà il n’aura aucune part.

German

Wer die Ernte des Jenseits begehrt, dem geben Wir Mehrung in seiner Ernte; und wer die Ernte dieser Welt begehrt, dem geben Wir davon, doch am Jenseits wird er keinen Anteil haben.

Chinese

[c]凡是想得后世收获的, 我就增加他的收获; 凡是想得今世收获的, 我就给他今世的收获, 但在后世他将无份。[1205]

那些完全致力于获得今生虚荣及价值卑微的东西的人将被剥夺后世的幸福和永恒的赐福, 而那些为后世准备的人将获得安拉给予的不可计量的赐福。

Italian

A chiunque desideri il raccolto dell'Aldilà, Noi aumentiamo il suo raccolto; e a chiunque desideri il raccolto di questo mondo, Noi gliene diamo una parte, ma nell'Aldilà non avrà parte alcuna.

Spanish

A quien desee la cosecha del Más Allá, le daremos su cosecha aumentada; y a quien desee la de este mundo, se la daremos, pero no tendrá parte en el Más Allá.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

جو کوئی آخرت کی کھیتی چاہتا ہے ہم اس کی (آخرت کی) کھیتی کو اس کے لئے بڑھاتے چلے جاتے ہیں اور جو کوئی اس دنیا کی کھیتی چاہتا ہے ہم اس (کو اسی دنیا کی کھیتی) میں سے اس کا حصہ دے دیتے ہیں (یعنی دنیوی متاع اسے مل جاتا ہے) اور آخرت میں اس کا کوئی حصہ نہیں ہوتا۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[c]Whoso desires the harvest of the Hereafter, We give him increase in his harvest; and whoso desires the harvest of this world, We give him his portion thereof, but in the Hereafter he will have no share.[2652]

3:146; 17:19, 20.

Those whose efforts are wholly directed towards acquiring the vain and paltry things of this life will be deprived of the bliss and blessings of everlasting life of the Hereafter, but those who prepare for the next life will have Divine blessings bestowed upon them without measure and diminution.

Commentary:

In v. 19 above believers and disbelievers in life after death have been mentioned together. The present verse warns those whose efforts are wholly directed towards acquiring the vanities and paltry things of this life that they will be deprived of the bliss and blessings of everlasting life of the Hereafter, but those who prepare for the next life will have Divine blessings bestowed upon them without measure or diminution.

جو کوئی آخرت کی کھیتی چاہتا ہے اُس کی کھیتی کو ہم بڑھاتے ہیں، اور جو دنیا کی کھیتی چاہتا ہے اُسے دنیا ہی میں سے دیتے ہیں مگر آخرت میں اُس کا کوئی حصہ نہیں ہے

English - Sahih

Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter - We increase for him in his harvest. And whoever desires the harvest of this world - We give him thereof, but there is not for him in the Hereafter any share.

جو کوئی آخرت کی کھیتی کا طالب ہو ہم اس کے لیے اس کھیتی میں برکت دیں گے اور جو دنیا کی کھیتی کا طالب ہو اسے (بقدر مناسب) دنیا میں دیں گے اور آخرت میں اس کا کچھ حصہ نہیں ہوگا

Whoever is desiring (the) harvest (of) the Hereafter - We increase for him in his harvest. And whoever is desiring (the) harvest (of) the world, We give him of it, but not for him in the Hereafter any share.
