45:24
أَفَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ وَأَضَلَّهُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِۦ وَقَلْبِهِۦ وَجَعَلَ عَلَىٰ بَصَرِهِۦ غِشَٰوَةً فَمَن يَهْدِيهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Hast thou seen him who conceives of his god according to his own fancy, and whom Allah has adjudged astray on basis of His knowledge, and whose ears and whose heart He has sealed up, and on whose eyes He has put a covering? Who, then, will guide him after Allah has condemned him? Will you not then heed?
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
کیا تُو نے اسے دیکھا ہے جو اپنی خواہش کو ہی معبود بنائے بیٹھا ہو اور اللہ نے اسے کسی علم کی بِنا پر گمراہ قرار دیا ہو اور اس کی شنوائی پر اور اس کے دل پر مہر لگادی ہو اور اسکی آنکھوں پر پردہ ڈال دیا ہو؟ پس اللہ کے بعد اسے کون ہدایت دے سکتا ہے؟ کیا پھر بھی تم نصیحت نہیں پکڑو گے؟
French
As-tu vu celui qui a tourné ses propres désirs en son dieu, et qu’Allāh a déclaré égaré malgré le fait qu'il a pleine connaissance de la vérité, et dont Il a scellé les oreilles et le cœur, et sur les yeux de qui Il a mis un voile ? Qui donc le guidera après qu’ Allāh l’ait condamné ? Ne voulez-vous donc pas prendre note ?

Hast du den gesehen, der sich sein eigen Gelüst zum Gott nimmt und den Allah zum Irrenden erklärt aufgrund (Seines) Wissens und dem Er Ohren und Herz versiegelt und auf dessen Augen Er eine Decke gelegt hat? Wer sollte ihn wohl richtig führen außer Allah? Wollt ihr euch da nicht ermahnen lassen?

Hai visto colui che fa del suo proprio desiderio il suo signore e che Allah ha condannato a deviare, a ragion veduta, e al quale Egli ha sigillato le orecchie e il cuore, e sui cui occhi Egli ha posto una coltre? Chi, dunque, lo guiderà dopo che Allah lo ha condannato? Non vorrete dunque prestare attenzione?

¿Has visto a quien convierte a su deseo en su señor, a quien Al-lah ha juzgado intencionadamente como extraviado, cuyos oídos y cuyo corazón Él ha sellado, y sobre cuyos ojos ha puesto una venda? ¿Quién, pues, lo guiará después de que Al-lah lo ha condenado? ¿No caeréis en la cuenta?
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
کیا تو نے اس شخص کی حالت پر بھی غور کیا ہے جس نے اپنی خواہش نفسانی کو اپنا معبود بنا لیا ہے اور اللہ نے اس کو (اپنے) علم کامل کی بنا پر گمراہ قرار دیا ہے‘ اور اس کے کانوں اور اس کے دل پر مہر لگا دی ہے اور اس کی آنکھوں پر پردہ ڈال دیا ہے۔ سو اب اللہ کے (اس فعل کے) بعد اس کو کون ہدایت دے سکے گا؟ کیا تم نصیحت نہیں حاصل کرتے؟
English - Short Commentary Translation
Hast thou considered the case of him [b]who has taken his own low desire for his god, and whom Allah has adjudged as having gone astray on the basis of His perfect knowledge, [c]and whose ears and whose heart He has sealed up, and on whose eyes He has put a covering. Who, then, will guide him after Allah has so decreed concerning him? Will you not then take heed?

Hast thou seen him [b]who has taken his desire for his god, and whom Allah has adjudged astray on basis of His knowledge, [c]and whose ears and whose heart He has sealed up, and on whose eyes He has put a covering? Who, then, will guide him after Allah has condemned him? Will you not then heed?[3747]

Commentary:
The verse develops the theme of the preceding verse and purports to say that as man has been created to serve a sublime object and has been endowed with great powers and faculties for the fulfilment of that object, and as the whole universe has been pressed into service for him in order to help him in its achievement, so, if, instead of making a proper use of his God-given powers he worships gods of his own fancy or imagination, he works out his spiritual ruin with his own hands.

پھر کیا تم نے کبھی اُس شخص کے حال پر بھی غور کیا جس نے اپنی خواہش نفس کو اپنا خدا بنا لیا اور اللہ نے علم کے باوجود اُسے گمراہی میں پھینک دیا اور اُس کے دل اور کانوں پر مہر لگا دی اور اُس کی آنکھوں پر پردہ ڈال دیا؟ اللہ کے بعد اب اور کون ہے جو اُسے ہدایت دے؟ کیا تم لوگ کوئی سبق نہیں لیتے؟
English - Sahih
Have you seen he who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allah? Then will you not be reminded?

بھلا آپ نے اس کو بھی دیکھا جو اپنی خواہش کا بندہ بن گیا اور الله نے باوجود سمجھ کے اسے گمراہ کر دیا اور اس کے کان اور دل پر مہر کر دی اور اس کی آنکھوں پر پردہ ڈال دیا پھر الله کے بعد اسے کون ہدایت کر سکتا ہے پھر تم کیوں نہیں سمجھتے

Hast thou seen him who has taken his caprice to be his god, and God has led him astray out of a knowledge, and set a seal upon his hearing and his heart, and laid a covering on his eyes? Who shall guide him after God? What, will you not remember?

Did you ever consider the case of him who took his desire as his god, and then Allah caused him to go astray despite knowledge, and sealed his hearing and his heart, and cast a veil over his sight? Who, after Allah, can direct him to the Right Way? Will you not take heed?

Commentary:
