ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ مَآ أَسْخَطَ ٱللَّهَ وَكَرِهُوا۟ رِضْوَٰنَهُۥ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

This is because they followed that which displeased Allah, and hated that which pleased Him. So He rendered their works vain.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یہ نتیجہ ہے اس کا کہ انہوں نے اس چیز کی جو اللہ کو ناراض کرتی ہے پیروی کی اور اس کی رضا کو ناپسند کیا۔ پس اس نے ان کے اعمال ضائع کردیئے۔

French

C’est parce qu’ils suivaient ce qui courrouçait Allāh, et qu’ils détestaient ce qui Lui était agréable. Il a donc rendu vaines leurs œuvres.

German

Dies, weil sie dem folgten, was Allah erzürnte und hassten, was Ihm wohlgefällig war. So machte Er ihre Werke zunichte.

Chinese

那是因为他们顺从安拉不喜悦的事物, 不喜欢 (谋求) 安拉的喜悦。所以他使他们的行为毫无结果。

Italian

Questo, perché hanno seguito quello che dispiaceva ad Allah e hanno odiato quello che Gli piaceva. Così Egli ha reso vane le loro opere.

Spanish

Esto es por haber seguido lo que desagradaba a Al-lah y odiado lo que le agradaba. De este modo Él hizo inútiles sus trabajos.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

یہ اس لئے ہوگا کہ جس بات کو اللہ نے ناپسند کیا وہ اس کے پیچھے چل پڑے اور خدا کی رضا (کی جستجو) کو ناپسند کیا سو خدا نے بھی ان کے اعمال ضائع کر دئیے۔

That is because they followed that which displeased Allah, and disliked the seeking of His pleasure. So he rendered their works vain.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

یہ اسی لیے تو ہوگا کہ انہوں نے اُس طریقے کی پیروی کی جو اللہ کو ناراض کرنے والا ہے اور اُس کی رضا کا راستہ اختیار کرنا پسند نہ کیا اِسی بنا پر اُس نے ان کے سب اعمال ضائع کر دیے

English - Sahih

That is because they followed what angered Allah and disliked [what earns] His pleasure, so He rendered worthless their deeds.

یہ اس لیے کہ یہ اس پر چلے جس پر الله ناراض ہے اور انہوں نے الله کی رضا مندی کو برا جانا پھر اس نے بھی ان کے اعمال اکارت کر دیئے

That is because they have followed what angers God, and have been averse to His good pleasure, so He has made their works to fail.

That is because they have followed a way that angered Allah, and have been averse to His good pleasure. So He reduced all their works to nought.

Because they followed what displeases God, and they were averse to pleasing Him. So We nullified their deeds.

This because they followed that which called forth the Wrath of Allah, and they hated Allah's good pleasure; so He made their deeds of no effect.
