أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُصَۣيْطِرُونَ

Do they own the treasures of thy Lord, or are they the guardians thereof ?

کیا ان کے پاس تیرے ربّ کے خزانے ہیں یا وہ (ان پر) داروغے ہیں؟

کیا ان کے پاس تیرے رب کے خزانے ہیں؟ یا وہ داروغے ہیں؟

English - Short Commentary Translation

Do they have the treasures of thy Lord with them, or, are they the guardians thereof?

English - Five Volume Translation

Do they own the treasures of thy Lord[b], or are they the guardians thereof ?[3955]

38:10.

Commentary:

God has been Gracious and Merciful to men, in that He has sent the Holy Prophet and has revealed the Quran to him that they may understand the object of their life and, by following him, may attain it and establish a true and real connection with God. But they refuse to accept him, thinking him to be too low to be entitled to demand and command their allegiance. The verse answers this objection of disbelievers by telling them that God in His infallible wisdom has chosen the Prophet to be humanity’s infallible Guide and Teacher. How can they dare arrogate to themselves the right and role of being the distributors or guardians of the treasures of God’s mercy?

کیا تیرے رب کے خزانے اِن کے قبضے میں ہیں؟ یا اُن پر اِنہی کا حکم چلتا ہے؟

English - Sahih

Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]?

کیا ان کے پاس آپ کے رب کے خزانے ہیں یا وہ داروغہ ہیں
