58:13
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِذَا نٰجَیۡتُمُ الرَّسُوۡلَ فَقَدِّمُوۡا بَیۡنَ یَدَیۡ نَجۡوٰٮکُمۡ صَدَقَۃً ۚ ذٰلِکَ خَیۡرٌ لَّکُمۡ وَاَطۡہَرُ ۚ فَاِنۡ لَّمۡ تَجِدُوۡا فَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِیۡمٌ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
O ye who believe! when you consult the Messenger in private, give alms before your consultation. That is better for you and purer. But if you find not anything to give, then Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو! جب تم رسول سے (کوئی ذاتی) مشورہ کرنا چاہو تو اپنے مشورہ سے پہلے صدقہ دیا کرو۔ یہ بات تمہارے لئے بہتر اور زیادہ پاکیزہ ہے۔ پس اگر تم (اپنے پاس) کچھ نہ پاؤ تو یقیناً اللہ بہت بخشنے والا (اور) بار بار رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
French
Ô vous qui croyez ! quand vous consultez le Messager en particulier, faites une offrande avant votre consultation. Cela est plus avantageux pour vous, et plus pur aussi. Mais si vous ne trouvez rien à donner, alors Allāh est Très-Pardonnant, Miséricordieux.
German
O die ihr glaubt, wenn ihr euch mit dem Gesandten vertraulich beraten wollt, so schickt Almosen eurer vertraulichen Beratung voraus. Das ist besser für euch und lauterer. Wenn ihr aber nicht (die Möglichkeit dazu) findet, dann ist Allah fürwahr allverzeihend, barmherzig.

信仰的人啊! 当你们私下请教使者时, 在你们请教之前, 要 (在安拉的道上) 施舍一些东西。这对于你们是更好、更纯洁的。如果你们没有东西 (不施舍也不算罪过,) 安拉是最宽恕的, 永久仁慈的。

O voi che credete! Quando consultate in privato il messaggero, presentate un'offerta prima della consultazione. È meglio per voi e più puro. Ma se non trovate niente da dare, allora Allah è Colui che sommamente perdona, il Misericordioso.
Spanish
¡Oh vosotros, los creyentes! Cuando consultéis al Mensajero en privado, entregad una ofrenda antes de la consulta. Esto es mejor y más puro para vosotros. Pero si no encontráis nada que dar, sabed que Al-lah es el Sumo Indulgente, Misericordioso.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اے ایمان دارو! جب تم رسول سے الگ مشورہ کرنا چاہو تو اپنے مشورہ سے پہلے کچھ صدقہ دیا کرو۔ یہ تمہارے لئے اچھا ہوگا اور دل کو پاک کرنے کا موجب ہوگا (مگر یہ حکم انہی کے لئے ہے جن کو توفیق ہو) اگر تم (کوئی چیز بھی صدقہ کے لئے) نہ پاؤ تو (ڈرو نہیں) اللہ بہت بخشنے والا (اور) باربار رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
O ye who believe! when you consult the Messenger in private, give alms before your consultation.[3009] That is better for you and purer. But if you find not anything to give, then Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.
The believers should have due regard for the precious time of the Holy Prophet and as a compensation for taking his time to spend some money in charity before going to him for consultation. The Holy Prophet has been called "Counsellor" in the Bible (Isa. 9: 6).
English - Five Volume Translation
O ye who believe! when you consult the Messenger in private, give alms before your consultation. That is better for you and purer. But if you find not anything to give, then Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.[4182]
Commentary:
The believers have been enjoined, in this verse, to have due regard for the precious time of the Holy Prophet and as a compensation for taking his time to spend some money in charity before going to him for consultation.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو، جب تم رسول سے تخلیہ میں بات کرو تو بات کرنے سے پہلے کچھ صدقہ دو یہ تمہارے لیے بہتر اور پاکیزہ تر ہے البتہ اگر تم صدقہ دینے کے لیے کچھ نہ پاؤ تو اللہ غفور و رحیم ہے

O you who have believed, when you [wish to] privately consult the Messenger, present before your consultation a charity. That is better for you and purer. But if you find not [the means] - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

اے ایمان والو جب تم رسول سے سرگوشی کرو تو اپنی سرگوشی سے پہلے صدقہ دے لیا کرو یہ تمہارے لیے بہتر اور زیادہ پاکیزہ بات ہے پس اگر نہ پاؤ تو الله بخشنے والا نہایت رحم والا ہے

O you who believe! When you privately consult the Messenger, then offer before your private consultation, charity. That (is) better for you and purer. But if not you find, then indeed, Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

English - Arberry
O believers, when you conspire with the Messenger, before your conspiring advance a freewill offering; that is better for you and purer. Yet if you find not means, God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate.

Believers, when you come to the Messenger for private consultation, offer some charity before your consultation with him. That is better for you and more conducive to purity. But if you find nothing to offer in charity, then know that Allah is Most Merciful, Most Compassionate.

O you who believe, if you confer with the Prophet in private, give alms in the name of God before you go to confer. This is better for you and becoming. If you do not have the means, then surely God is forgiving and kind.
