6:40

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا صُمٌّ وَبُكْمٌ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ ۗ مَن يَشَإِ ٱللَّهُ يُضْلِلْهُ وَمَن يَشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Those who have rejected Our Signs are deaf and dumb, in utter darkness. Whom Allah wills He allows to perish and whom He wills He places on the right path.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور وہ لوگ جنہوں نے ہماری آیات کو جھٹلایا وہ اندھیروں میں (بھٹکتے ہوئے) بہرے اور گونگے ہیں۔ جسے اللہ چاہتا ہے گمراہ ٹھہرا دیتا ہے اور جسے چاہے اسے صراطِ مستقیم پر (گامزن) کر دیتا ہے۔

French

Ceux qui traitent Nos Signes de mensonges sont sourds et muets, et sont dans une obscurité complète. Celui à propos de qui Allāh décide qu’il mérite de s’égarer, Il le laisse s’égarer. Et celui à propos de qui Il décide, Il l’amène sur le droit chemin.

German

Die aber Unsere Zeichen leugneten, sind taub und stumm in Finsternissen. Wen Allah will, lässt er in die Irre gehen und wen Er will, führt Er auf den geraden Weg.

Chinese

[c]那些拒绝我的迹象的人, 他们又聋、又哑并在层层黑暗中。凡安拉决定 (应得迷途者), 他使其入于迷途, 凡他决定 (应入正道者) 他引导其走上正道。

Italian

Coloro che hanno respinto i Nostri segni sono sordi e muti, in tenebre fitte. Allah lascia perire chi vuole, e mette sulla retta via chi vuole.

Spanish

Quienes han rechazado nuestros Signos están sordos y mudos en las tinieblas más completas. A quien Al-lah así lo estima oportuno , permite que se extravíe y a quien así decide lo sitúa en el camino correcto.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیتوںں کو جھٹلایا ہے وہ بہرے اور گونگے ہیں (اور) تاریکیوں میں (پڑے ہوئے) ہیں۔ جسے اللہ چاہے ہلاک کر دے اور جسے چاہے سیدھے راستہ پر (قائم) کر دے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[d]Those who have rejected Our Signs are deaf and dumb, in utter darkness. Whom Allah wills He lets go astray and whom He wills He places on the right path.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

مگر جو لوگ ہماری نشانیوں کو جھٹلاتے ہیں وہ بہرے اور گونگے ہیں، تاریکیوں میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے بھٹکا دیتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے سیدھے رستے پر لگا دیتا ہے

English - Sahih

But those who deny Our verses are deaf and dumb within darknesses. Whomever Allah wills - He leaves astray; and whomever He wills - He puts him on a straight path.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اور جو لوگ ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہیں وہ بہرےاور گونگے ہیں اندھیروں میں ہیں الله جسے چاہے گمراہ کر دے اور جسے چاہے سیدھی راہ پر ڈال دے

And those who rejected Our Verses (are) deaf and dumb in the darkness[es]. Whoever wills Allah - He lets him go astray and whoever He wills - He places him on (the) way, (the) straight.

English - Arberry

And those who cry lies to Our signs are deaf and dumb, dwelling in the shadows. Whomsoever God will, He leads astray, and whomsoever He will, He sets him on a straight path.

English - Maududi

Those who gave the lie to Our signs are deaf and dumb and blunder about in darkness. Allah causes whomsoever He wills to stray in error, and sets whomsoever He wills on the straight way.'

Those who deny Our revelations are deaf, dumb, and lost in the dark. God sends whosoever He wills astray, and leads whom He will to the straight path.
