67:20

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صَٰٓفَّٰتٍ وَيَقْبِضْنَ ۚ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍۭ بَصِيرٌ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Have they not seen the birds above them, spreading out their wings without moving them and then drawing them in to swoop down upon the prey? None withholds them but the Gracious God. Verily He sees all things.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

کیا انہوں نے پرندوں کو اپنے اوپر پَر پھیلاتے اور سمیٹتے ہوئے نہیں دیکھا۔ رحمان کے سوا کوئی نہیں جو انہیں روکے رکھے۔ یقیناً وہ ہر چیز پر گہری نظر رکھتا ہے۔

French

N’ont-ils pas vu les oiseaux au-dessus d’eux, déployant et repliant leurs ailes ? Nul ne les retient excepté le Dieu Gracieux. En vérité, Il voit bien toutes choses.

German

Haben sie nicht die Vögel über sich gesehen, wie sie ihre Flügel breiten und sie dann einziehen? Keiner hält sie zurück als der Gnadenreiche. Wahrlich, Er sieht alle Dinge.

Chinese

[a]难道他们没有看见在他们上面的飞鸟展翼飞翔, 接着收缩双翼 (飞下来猛扑被捕食的动物)?[1452]除了无限博爱者以外没有可以制止它们的。他是全视万物的。

16:80.

如果不信者继续反对真理, 他们将毁于饥荒、地震, 尤其是毁于战争, 天上的飞鸟将以他们的尸体为美餐 (16:80)。另见《大版本的注释本》中第1880条注。

Non hanno visto gli uccelli sopra di loro, quando dispiegano le ali senza muoverle e quindi le chiudono per piombare sulla preda? Nulla li trattiene, se non il Dio Clemente. Egli vede bene tutte le cose.

Spanish

¿No han visto acaso los pájaros por encima de ellos, extendiendo us alas sin moverlas y después juntándolas paracaer sobre la presa? Nadie los sostiene excepto el Dios Clemente. En verdad, Él ve todas las cosas.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

کیا انہوں نے اپنے اوپر (فضاؤں میں پر پھیلائے ہوئے) صف در صف پرندوں کو نہیں دیکھا جو کبھی (نیچے اترتے ہوئے اپنے پر) سمیٹ لیتے ہیں۔ رحمان (خدا) ہی ان کو روکتا [1]ہے وہ ہر چیز سے اچھی طرح واقف ہے۔

یعنی زلزلوں سے اور بیماریوں سے اس نے تم کو محفوظ کیا ہوا ہے۔ ورنہ پرندے آسمان پر اڑتے ہوئے انتظار کر رہے ہیں کہ تم پر عذاب آئے اور وہ جھپٹ کر تمہاری لاشیں کھائیں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[a]Do they not see the birds above them, spreading out their wings in flight and then drawing them in to swoop down upon the prey?[3083] None withholds them but the Gracious God. He sees all things well.

16:80.

If the disbelievers continue to oppose Truth, they will be destroyed by famines, earthquakes; particularly by wars, and the birds of the skies will feast upon their dead bodies (16:80). See also note {1880} in "The Larger Edition of the Commentary."

English - Five Volume Translation

16:80.

Commentary:

The verse as the context shows, refers to Divine punishment that is in store for disbelievers. It purports to say that if they continue to oppose truth, they will be destroyed by famines, earthquakes and particularly by wars, and the birds of the skies will feast on their dead bodies. The Merciful God grants them respite that they might accept the Heavenly Message and save themselves from Divine punishment. See also 16:80.

کیا یہ لو گ اپنے اوپر اڑنے والے پرندوں کو پر پھیلائے اور سکیڑتے نہیں دیکھتے؟ رحمان کے سوا کوئی نہیں جو انہیں تھامے ہوئے ہو وہی ہر چیز کا نگہبان ہے

English - Sahih

Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful. Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing.

اور کیا انہوں نے اپنے اوپر پرندوں کو پر کھولتے اور سکیڑتے ہوئے نہیں دیکھا جنہیں رحمان کے سوا کوئی نہیں تھام رہا بے شک وہ ہر چیز کو دیکھ رہاہے

Do not they see [to] the birds above them spreading (their wings) and folding? Not holds them except the Most Gracious. Indeed, He (is) of every thing All-Seer.
