قَالَ اَوۡسَطُہُمۡ اَلَمۡ اَقُل لَّکُمۡ لَوۡلَا تُسَبِّحُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

The best among them said, “Did I not say to you, ‘Why do you not glorify God?’ ”

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

ان میں سے بہترین شخص نے کہا کیا میں نے تمہیں کہا نہیں تھا کہ تم تسبیح کیوں نہیں کرتے؟

French

Le meilleur d’entre eux dit : « Ne vous avais-je pas dit : « Pourquoi ne rendez-vous pas gloire à Allāh ? »

German

Der Beste unter ihnen sprach: «Habe ich euch nicht gesagt: "Warum preist ihr nicht (Gott)?"»

他们中最好的人说: “我没有对你们说过吗? 你们为什么不赞颂安拉?”

Italian

Il migliore tra loro disse: «Non vi avevo detto: Perché non glorificate Dio?»

Spanish

El mejor de entre ellos dijo: “¿Acaso no os dije: “Por qué no glorificáis a Dios?”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

جو ان سے اچھا آدمی تھا‘ اس نے کہا کیا میں نے تم سے نہیں کہا تھا کہ تم خدا کی تسبیح کیوں نہیں کرتے؟

English - Short Commentary Translation

The best among them said, ‘Did I not say to you, why do you not glorify God?’

The best among them said, ‘Did I not say to you, “Why do you not glorify God?” ’

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اُن میں جو سب سے بہتر آدمی تھا اُس نے کہا "میں نے تم سے کہا نہ تھا کہ تم تسبیح کیوں نہیں کرتے؟"

The most moderate of them said, "Did I not say to you, 'Why do you not exalt [Allah]?' "
