قطوف (clusters of fruit) is plural of قطف (qitfun) which is derived from قطف. They say قطف الثمر i.e. he culled, plucked and gathered the fruit. قطف الشیء means, he took hastily the thing or snatched it. قطف means, a bunch of grapes; culled fruit (Aqrab).
Commentary:
Besides referring to the blessings and boons of Paradise, the verse may be taken also to refer to the worldly comforts that were at the disposal of the Holy Prophet’s Companions.
