اس جگہ رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا نام روشن کرنے والا چراغ یا سورج رکھا گیا ہے۔ یعنی آپ سے نور پاکر ظلّی طور پر ایسے لوگ تیار ہوتے رہیں گے جو دنیا کو روشن کرتے رہیں گے۔ جیسا کہ چاند سورج سے روشنی پاکر اندھیرے کو دور کرتا ہے۔

As the sun is the central point in the physical universe, so is the Holy Prophet the central point in the spiritual realm. He is the sun in the firmament of Prophets and Heavenly Reformers who like so many stars and moons revolve round him and borrow light from him. He is reported to have said: 'My Companions are like so many stars; whomsoever of them you follow you will be rightly guided' (Saghir).
Commentary:
In this verse the Holy Prophet has been likened to the sun, thus indicating that as the sun is the central point in the physical universe so is the Holy Prophet the central point in the spiritual realm, i.e. he is like the sun in the firmament of Prophets who are like so many stars and moons in comparison with him. He is also like the sun among his own Companions whom he himself has likened to stars. He is reported to have said: My Companions are like so many stars; whomsoever of them you follow you will be rightly guided (Saghir).
