مُتَّقِیۡنۡ

[1] وَقَاهُ ٱللّٰهُ السُّوْءَ God preserved him from evil. (Msb.) See a verse cited voce نَقَشَ. ― 2-b2- وَقَاكَ اللّٰهُ كُلَّ مَحْذُور God preserve thee from all fear: see مَحْذُورٌ. ― 2-b3- قِ, or قِهْ, and تَوَقَّ, are imperatives [meaning Be thou cautious]. (JK.) ― 2-b4- قِ عَلَى ظَلْعِكَ: see ظَلَعَ. ― 2-b5- وَقَاهُ and ↓ اِتَّقَاهُ both signify He was cautious of it; syn. حَذِرَهُ. (K.)
