حَتّٰۤی اِذَا جَآءُوۡ قَالَ اَکَذَّبۡتُمۡ بِاٰیٰتِیۡ وَلَمۡ تُحِیۡطُوۡا بِہَا عِلۡمًا اَمَّاذَا کُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Till, when they come, He will say, ‘Did you reject My Signs, while you did not embrace them in your knowledge? Or what was it that you were doing?’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
یہاں تک کہ جب وہ (اللہ کے حضور) آجائیں گے وہ کہے گا کیا تم نے میری آیات کو جھٹلا دیا تھا جبکہ تم اُن کا بطور علم احاطہ نہیں کر سکے تھے ؟ یا پھر اور کیا تھا جو تم کرتے رہے ہو۔

Jusqu’à ce que, quand ils seront arrivés, Il dira : « Avez-vous rejeté Mes Signes sans réfléchir, alors que vous n’en aviez pas pleine connaissance ? Sinon, que faisiez-vous, alors ?

Fino a che, quando arriveranno, Egli dirà: «Avete rifiutato i Miei segni, pur non avendone acquisito piena conoscenza? O, cos'altro facevate?»

Hasta que, cuando lleguen, Él les diga: “¿Rechazasteis rápidamente Mis Signos, sin haber logrado pleno conocimiento de los mismos? Si no es así ¿qué es lo que estabais haciendo?”.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور جب وہ اس کے پاس پہنچیں گے۔ وہ ان سے کہے گا۔ کیا تم نے میرے نشانات کا اس کے باوجود انکارکیا تھا کہ تم نے علم کے ذریعہ سے ان کی پوری واقفیت حاصل نہیں کی تھی یا[1]یہ بتاؤکہ تم (اسلام کے خلاف کیا) کیاسازشیں کیاکرتے تھے۔
یعنی پوری طرح تحقیقات نہ کی تھی صرف قوم کے لیڈروں کے بھڑکانے سے بھڑک اٹھے تھے۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
Till, when they come, He will say, [a]‘Did you reject My Signs, while you had not full knowledge concerning them? Or, what was it that you were doing about them?’

Till, when they come, He will say, [b]‘Did you reject My Signs, while you did not comprehend them in knowledge? Or what was it that you were doing?’[2868]

Commentary:
The particle أما (rather) sometimes is used to lend emphasis to the statement which follows it. It is also used in the sense of بل (rather). Here it is used in the latter sense.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
یہاں تک کہ جب سب آ جائیں گے تو (ان کا رب ان سے) پوچھے گا کہ "تم نے میری آیات کو جھٹلا دیا حالانکہ تم نے ان کا علمی احاطہ نہ کیا تھا؟ اگر یہ نہیں تو اور تم کیا کر رہے تھے؟"
English - Sahih
Until, when they arrive [at the place of Judgement], He will say, "Did you deny My signs while you encompassed them not in knowledge, or what [was it that] you were doing?"

یہاں تک کہ جب سب حاضر ہوں گے کہے گا کیا تم نے میری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا تھا حالانکہ تم انہیں سمجھے بھی نہ تھے یا کیا کرتے رہے ہو
