These signs are:(1) that they are friends to one another; (2) that they enjoin good; (3) that they forbid evil; (4) that they are steadfast in the performance of Prayers (5) that they give the prescribed Zakah; (6) that they obey God and His Messenger; and (7) that they are recipients of God’smercy.

یُعَذِّبُ مَنۡ یَّشَآءُ وَیَرۡحَمُ مَنۡ یَّشَآءُ ۖ وَاِلَیۡہِ تُقۡلَبُوۡنَ
قرآن کریم کی دوسری آیات سے ثابت ہے کہ عذاب اللہ تعالیٰ اسی کو دیتا ہے جو مستحق ہوتا ہے۔ پس اس آیت کے معنے یہ ہیں کہ اس کا علم کامل جس شخص یا قوم کو عذاب کا مستحق قرار دیتا ہے اس کو عذاب دیتا ہے نہ یہ کہ اندھا دھند بغیر استحقاق کے عذاب دیتا ہے۔
