یسجرون (they are burnt) is derived from سجر. They say سجر التنور i.e. he filled the oven with firewood and made it hot. سجر الـماء النھرmeans, the water filled the streamlet. اذا البحارسجرت means, when the seas shall be filled or when they shall overflow or when they shall be set on fire (Lane). See also 81:7.
