English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And these were ‘Ad. They denied the Signs of their Lord and disobeyed His Messengers and followed the bidding of every haughty enemy of truth.

اور یہ ہیں عاد۔ انہوں نے اپنے ربّ کی آیات کا انکار کردیا اور اس کے رسولوں کی نافرمانی کی اور ہر سخت جابر (اور) سرکش کے حکم کی پیروی کرتے رہے۔

اور یہ (مغرور) عاد (ہی تھے) جنہوں نے (دیدہ و دانستہ) اپنے رب کے نشانوں کا انکار کر دیا تھا۔ اور اسکے رسولوں کی نافرمانی کی تھی۔ اور ہر ایک سرکش (اور) حق کے دشمن (شخص) کے حکم کی پیروی کرنے لگ پڑے تھے۔

And these were ‘Ad. They denied the Signs of their Lord and disobeyed His Messengers and followed the bidding of every haughty enemy of truth.[1440]
Commentary:
The word تلك (these) points to the worldly greatness and grandeur of the tribe of ‘Ad. It has been used to hint that although the ‘Adites were a powerful people, yet when they behaved insolently and wickedly and rejected the Divine Messenger, they came to nought.

یہ ہیں عاد، اپنے رب کی آیات سے انہوں نے انکار کیا، اس کے رسولوں کی بات نہ مانی، اور ہر جبار دشمن حق کی پیروی کرتے رہے
