كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ
不遗馀力地反对一件大业, 而且全力以赴试图摧毁它, 却就在自己的眼皮底下看到它繁荣进步, 再没有比这个更令人屈辱或精神上更痛苦了。当古莱西人首领们就在自己的眼皮底下看到伊斯兰教娇嫩的幼苗茁长为一株壮硕的大树时, 他们内心即有这样的剧痛。
حُطَمَہ سے مراد دوزخ ہے کیونکہ حُطَمَہ کے معنے ہوتے ہیں جس کو توڑا جائے۔ اور قرآن کریم اور احادیث سے ظاہر ہے کہ آخر اللہ تعالیٰ اپنے بندوں پر رحم کرکے دوزخ کو مٹا دے گا۔ چنانچہ قرآن کریم میں بھی آیا ہے کہ اُمُّہٗ ھَاوِیَہ (سورۃ قارعہ) یعنی انسان ہمیشہ دوزخ میں نہیں رہے گا۔ بلکہ جس طرح ماں کے پیٹ میں کچھ عرصہ کے لئے رہتا ہے۔ اس طرح کچھ عرصہ کے لئے وہ دوزخ میں رہے گا۔ پھر باہر کی کھلی ہوا یعنی جنت میں آجائے گا۔ اسی طرح حدیث میں رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم فرماتے ہیں یَاْتِیْ عَلٰی جَھَنَّمَ زَمَانٌ لَیْسَ فِیْھَا اَحَدٌ وَّ نَسِیْمُ الصَّبَا تُحَ
There could be no greater humiliation or mental agony for a person than that he should see that the cause against which he had fought tooth and nail and which he had tried with might and main to crush, was progressing and prospering before his very eyes. It is this sense of burning anguish of the heart which the leaders of the Quraish felt when they saw the tender plant of Islam growing into a mighty tree before their very eyes.
Commentary:
الحطمة (crushing punishment) is derived from حطم. They say حطمته السن i.e. old age broke him. حطمت الدابة (hatima) means, the beast became aged and emaciated and weak and broken with age. حطمة means, a vehement fire that breaks into pieces everything that is cast into it; it is also a name for Hell or Hellfire; a man who eats much, i.e. breaks everything in eating; an insatiable man (Lane & Aqrab).
