English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of the Evil One. Fight ye therefore against the friends of Satan; surely, Satan’s strategy is weak!

وہ لوگ جو ایمان لائے ہیں وہ اللہ کی راہ میں قتال کرتے ہیں اور وہ لوگ جنہوں نے انکار کیا وہ شیطان کی راہ میں قتال کرتے ہیں۔ پس تم شیطان کے دوستوں سے قتال کرو۔ شیطان کی تدبیر یقیناً کمزور ہوتی ہے۔

Les croyants combattent pour la cause d’Allāh et les mécréants combattent pour la cause du Malin. Combattez donc les amis de Satan ; assurément, la stratégie de Satan est faible !

Die da glauben, kämpfen für Allahs Sache, und die nicht glauben, kämpfen für die Sache des Bösen. Kämpft darum wider die Freunde Satans! Denn gewiss, Satans Feldherrnkunst ist schwach.

جو لوگ مومن ہیں وہ اللہ کی راہ میں جنگ کرتے ہیں۔ اور جو کافر ہیں وہ شیطان کی راہ میں جنگ کرتے ہیں۔ اس لئے تم شیطان کے دوستوں سے جنگ کرو۔ شیطان کی تدبیر کمزور (ہوتی) ہے۔

جن لوگوں نے ایمان کا راستہ اختیار کیا ہے، وہ اللہ کی راہ میں لڑتے ہیں اور جنہوں نے کفر کا راستہ اختیار کیا ہے، و ہ طاغوت کی راہ میں لڑتے ہیں، پس شیطان کے ساتھیوں سے لڑو اور یقین جانو کہ شیطان کی چالیں حقیقت میں نہایت کمزور ہیں

Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of Taghut. So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak.

The believers fight in the way of God, and the unbelievers fight in the idols' way. Fight you therefore against the friends of Satan; surely the guile of Satan is ever feeble.

Those who have faith fight in the way of Allah, while those who disbelieve fight in the way of taghut (Satan). Fight, then, against the fellows of Satan. Surely Satan's strategy is weak.

And thus do We expound the Signs that the truth may become manifest and that the way of the sinners may become clear.

Commentary:
There is an ellipsis here, the words لتستغفروا (that you may seek forgiveness) or the words لتؤمنوا (that you may believe) may be taken to be understood before the words ولتستبین (and may become manifest).

اور اس طرح ہم اپنی نشانیاں کھول کھول کر پیش کرتے ہیں تاکہ مجرموں کی راہ بالکل نمایاں ہو جائے

Et Nous avons pris avec Moïse un engagement de trente nuits, auxquelles Nous avons ajouté dix nuits supplémentaires, pour que la période fixée par son Seigneur soit complétée dans quarante nuits. Et Moïse dit à Aaron, son frère : « En mon absence, supplée-moi auprès de mon peuple, agis en bien, et ne suis pas la voie de ceux qui causent le désordre. »

E Mosè disse a suo fratello Aronne: «Agisci per me fra il mio popolo, durante la mia assenza, e governalo rettamente, e non seguire la via di quelli che provocano disordine.»

E hicimos a Moisés una promesa de treinta noches que complementamos con otras diez. Así quedó completado el tiempo señalado por su Señor –cuarenta noches-. Y Moisés dijo a su hermano, Aarón: “Actúa en mi lugar ante mi pueblo durante mi ausencia, trátalos bien y no sigas el camino de los que causan la discordia”.

اس جگہ جو واقعات بیان ہوئے ہیں جغرافیہ کی ترتیب سے بیان نہیں ہوئے بلکہ عبرت اور نصیحت کو مدِّنظر رکھ کر جو قرآن کریم کا اصل مقصود ہے بیان ہوئے ہیں۔ گو زمانہ اور جغرافیہ کی ترتیب کے لحاظ سے آگے پیچھے ہو گئے ہیں۔

God’s communion with Moses was completed in the promised thirty nights. The prolongation of the period by ten nights did not form part of the promise but was an additional favour.
The words show that Aaron’s position was that of a subordinate to Moses. Moses called the Israelites "my people” and directed Aaron to act for him, i.e. officiate in his place during his absence.

Commentary:
The promised nights were only thirty, and ten were added subsequently to increase the favour. In fact, God’s communion with Moses was completed in the promised thirty nights, as hinted in the next verse. So the prolongation of the period by ten nights, which was due to the request of Moses to God to manifest Himself to him, did not form part of the promise but was something additional.
The words, Act for me among my people in my absence, clearly indicate that Aaron’s position was subordinate to that of Moses. Moses called the Israelites "my people" and directed Aaron to act for him, i.e. officiate in his place during his absence, which shows that Aaron occupied no independent position but was only a subordinate Prophet to Moses.
The words, and follow not the ways of those who cause disorder, are intended as a warning to Aaron to beware of the mischief-makers and adopt a strong policy.
The use of the word "nights" is significant. As this period was meant to be passed in meditation and devotion for which the quiet and calmness of the night is much more suitable than the day, so God used the word "nights".

ہم نے موسیٰؑ کو تیس شب و روز کے لیے (کوہ سینا پر) طلب کیا اور بعد میں دس دن کا اور اضافہ کر دیا، اِس طرح اُس کے رب کی مقرر کردہ مدت پورے چالیس دن ہو گئی موسیٰؑ نے چلتے ہوئے اپنے بھائی ہارونؑ سے کہا کہ "میرے پیچھے تم میری قوم میں میری جانشینی کرنا اور ٹھیک کام کرتے رہنا اور بگاڑ پیدا کرنے والوں کے طریقے پر نہ چلنا"

سَأَصْرِفُ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَكَبَّرُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كُلَّ ءَايَةٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهَا وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ سَبِيلَ ٱلرُّشْدِ لَا يَتَّخِذُوهُ سَبِيلًا وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ سَبِيلَ ٱلْغَىِّ يَتَّخِذُوهُ سَبِيلًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَكَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا غَٰفِلِينَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
I shall soon turn away from My Signs those who behave proudly in the land in an unjust manner; and even if they see all the Signs, they will not believe therein; and if they see the way of righteousness, they will not adopt it as their way; but if they see the way of error, they will adopt it as their way. That is because they treated Our Signs as lies and were heedless of them.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
میں ان لوگوں (کی توجہ) کو اپنی آیات سے پھیر دوں گا جو ناحق زمین میں تکبر کرتے ہیں۔ اور اگر وہ ہر ایک نشان بھی دیکھ لیں تو اُس پر ایمان نہیں لاتے۔ اور اگر وہ ہدایت کی راہ دیکھیں تو اُسے بطور راستہ اختیار نہیں کرتے۔ حالانکہ اگر وہ گمراہی کی راہ دیکھ لیں تو اسے بطور راستہ اپنا لیتے ہیں۔ یہ اس لئے ہے کہ انہوں نے ہمارے نشانات کو جھٹلا دیا اور وہ ان سے بے پرواہ رہنے والے تھے۔

Je ne tarderai pas à détourner de Mes Signes ceux qui se comportent avec orgueil et injustice sur la terre ; et quand bien même ils verraient tous les Signes, ils n’y croiraient pas ; et s’ils voyaient la voie de la rectitude, ils ne voudraient pas l’adopter comme leur voie ; mais s’ils voient la voie de l’erreur, ils l’adopteront comme leur voie. C’est parce qu’ils ont traité Nos Signes de mensonges et ne s’en sont pas souciés.

Abwenden aber will Ich von Meinen Zeichen diejenigen, die sich hoffärtig im Lande gebärden wider alles Recht; und wenn sie auch alle Zeichen sehen, so wollen sie nicht daran glauben; und wenn sie den Weg der Rechtschaffenheit sehen, so wollen sie ihn nicht als Weg annehmen; sehen sie aber den Weg des Irrtums, so nehmen sie ihn als Weg an. Dies, weil sie Unsere Zeichen als Lüge behandelten und ihrer nicht achteten.

我将很快地使那些在世界上不义地骄傲自大的人远离我的迹象; [a]即使他们看到每种迹像, 他们也将不信仰它们; 即使他们看到正路,也不把它作为自己的道路; 但如果它们发现迷误的道路, 便把它做为自己的道路。这是因为他们诬罔我的迹象而忽视了它们。

Presto farò distogliere dai Miei segni quelli che nel paese si comportano in modo orgoglioso e ingiusto, ed anche se essi vedranno tutti i segni, non vi crederanno. E se vedranno la via della rettitudine, non la adotteranno come loro via; ma se vedranno la via dell'errore, la adotteranno come loro via. Questo perché consideravano come menzogne i Nostri segni, e ne erano incuranti.

En breve alejaré de Mis Signos a quienes se comportaron orgullosamente en el país y de manera injusta; pues aunque vean todos los Signos, no creerán en ellos; y si ven el camino de la justicia, no lo adoptarán como su camino; pero si ven el camino del error, lo seguirán como el suyo. Esto es porque trataron a Nuestros Signos como mentiras e hicieron caso omiso de ellos.

میں جلدی ہی ان لوگوں کو جنہوں نے بغیر کسی حق کے دنیا میں تکبر کیا ہے اپنے نشانوں سے (محروم کرکے) دور کر دوں گا اور اگر وہ ہر (ممکن) نشان بھی دیکھ لیں تو ان آیات پر ایمان نہیں لائیں گے اور اگر وہ سیدھا راستہ دیکھ بھی لیں تو اسے کبھی اپنائیں گے نہیں اور اگر وہ گمراہی کا راستہ دیکھیں تو اسے اپنا لیں گے۔ یہ اس لئے ہے کہ انہوں نے ہماری آیتوں کی تکذیب کی اور ان سے غفلت برت رہے ہیں۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
I shall soon turn away from My Signs those who behave proudly in the land in an unjust manner; and even [b]if they see all the Signs, they will not believe therein; and if they see the way of righteousness, they will not adopt it as their way; but if they see the way of error, they will adopt it as their way. That is because they treated Our Signs as lies and were heedless of them.

This verse explains the true significance of the word دار (abode) occurring in the sentence, I shall show you the abode of the transgressors, contained in the preceding verse.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
میں اپنی نشانیوں سے اُن لوگوں کی نگاہیں پھیر دوں گا جو بغیر کسی حق کے زمین میں بڑے بنتے ہیں، وہ خواہ کوئی نشانی دیکھ لیں کبھی اس پر ایمان نہ لائیں گے، اگر سیدھا راستہ اُن کے سامنے آئے تو اسے اختیار نہ کریں گے اور اگر ٹیٹرھا راستہ نظر آئے تو اس پر چل پڑیں گے، اس لیے کہ انہوں نے ہماری نشانیوں کو جھٹلایا اور ان سے بے پروائی کرتے رہے

I will turn away from My signs those who are arrogant upon the earth without right; and if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. And if they see the way of consciousness, they will not adopt it as a way; but if they see the way of error, they will adopt it as a way. That is because they have denied Our signs and they were heedless of them.

پھر میں اپنی آیتوں سے انہیں پھیر دوں گا جو زمین میں نا حق تکبر کرتے ہیں اور اگر وہ ساری نشانیاں بھی دیکھ لیں تو بھی ایمان نہیں لائیں گے اور اگر ہدایت کا راستہ دیکھیں تو اسے اپنا راہ نہیں بنائیں گے یہ اس لیے ہے کہ انہوں نے ہماری آیتو ں کو جھٹلایا اور ان سے بے خبر رہے
