وَاِذَا بَلَغَ الۡاَطۡفٰلُ مِنۡکُمُ الۡحُلُمَ فَلۡیَسۡتَـٔۡذِنُوۡا کَمَا اسۡتَـٔۡذَنَ الَّذِیۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِہِمۡ ۚ کَذٰلِکَ یُبَیِّنُ اللّٰہُ لَکُمۡ اٰیٰتِہٖ ۗ وَاللّٰہُ عَلِیۡمٌ حَکِیۡمٌ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And when the children among you attain to puberty, they too should ask permission, even as those mentioned before them asked permission. Thus does Allah make plain to you His commandments; and Allah is All-Knowing, Wise.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور جب تم میں سے بچے بلوغت کو پہنچ جائیں تو اسی طرح اجازت لیا کریں جس طرح اُن سے پہلے لوگ اجازت لیتے رہے۔ اسی طرح اللہ تمہارے لئے اپنی آیات کو کھول کھول کر بیان کرتا ہے اور اللہ دائمی علم رکھنے والا (اور) بہت حکمت والا ہے۔
French
Et lorsque les enfants parmi vous atteignent l’âge de la puberté, eux aussi doivent vous demander la permission, ainsi que leurs aînés avant eux vous demandaient permission. C’est ainsi qu’Allāh rend Ses commandements clairs pour vous ; et Allāh est Omniscient, Sage.

Wenn die Kinder unter euch ihre Reife erlangen, dann sollen sie (auch) um Erlaubnis bitten, gerade so wie die vor ihnen um Erlaubnis baten. Also macht euch Allah Seine Gebote klar, denn Allah ist allwissend, allweise.

E quando i bambini tra di voi raggiungono la pubertà, anche essi dovrebbero chiedere permesso, come gli anziani prima di loro chiedevano permesso. Così Allah vi spiega i Suoi comandamenti; e Allah è Onnisciente, Sapiente.

Cuando vuestros hijos alcancen la pubertad, también eberán pedir permiso, al igual que deben pedir permiso los antes mencionados. Así os aclara Al‑lah Sus mandamientos; pues Al‑lah es Omnisciente, Sabio.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور جب تمہارے بچے بلوغت کو پہنچ جائیں تو اسی طرح اجازت لیا کریں جس طرح ان سے پہلے (یعنی بڑے) لوگ اجازت لیا کرتے تھے۔ اسی طرح اللہ اپنے احکام تمہارے لئے بیان کرتا ہے اور اللہ بہت جاننے والا (اور) حکمت والا ہے۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
And when the children among you reach puberty, they too should ask leave, even as their elders before them asked leave. Thus does Allah make plain to you His commandments; and Allah is All-Knowing, Wise.
English - Five Volume Translation
And when the children among you attain to puberty, they too should ask permission, even as those mentioned before them asked permission. Thus does Allah make plain to you His commandments; and Allah is All-Knowing, Wise.[2634]
Commentary:
The words من قبلھم may mean, (i) those persons who have been mentioned in v. 28 above; or (ii) those who have attained puberty before them.

اور جب تمہارے بچے عقل کی حد کو پہنچ جائیں تو چاہے کہ اُسی طرح اجازت لیکر آیا کریں جس طرح اُن کے بڑے اجازت لیتے رہے ہیں اِس طرح اللہ اپنی آیات تمہارے سامنے کھولتا ہے، اور وہ علیم و حکیم ہے
English - Sahih
And when the children among you reach puberty, let them ask permission [at all times] as those before them have done. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses; and Allah is Knowing and Wise.

English - Arberry
When your children reach puberty, let them ask leave, as those before them asked leave. So God makes clear to you His signs; and God is All-knowing, All-wise.

And when your children have grown sex conscious, they should receive your permission for this just as their elders get permission. In this way Allah makes His Revelations plain to you for He is All-Knowing, AllWise.
