English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
‘And to recite the Qur’an.’ So whoever follows guidance, follows it only for the good of his own soul; and as to him who goes astray, say, ‘I am only a warner.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور یہ کہ میں قرآن کی تلاوت کروں۔ پس جس نے ہدایت پائی تو وہ اپنی ہی خاطرہدایت پاتا ہے اور جو گمراہ ہوا تو کہہ دے کہ میں تو محض ڈرانے والوں میں سے ہوں۔

“Y que recite el Corán”. Así, quien sigue la guía la sigue nicamente por el bien de su propia alma; y a quien se extravía, dile: “No soy más que un amonestador”.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور یہ بھی کہ میں قرآن پڑھ کر سناؤں۔ پس جو اسے سن کر ہدایت پاجائے گا تو اس کا ہدایت پانا صرف اسی کی جان کے کام آئے گا اور جو اسے سن کر گمراہ ہو جائے گا تو تو اسے کہہ دے کہ میں صرف ایک ہوشیار کرنے والا (وجود) ہوں۔

Commentary:
The theme of the preceding verse is further developed in the present verse and the Holy Prophet is commanded to say that from Mecca will emanate the light of the Quran which will illumine the whole world.

اور یہ قرآن پڑھ کر سناؤں" اب جو ہدایت اختیار کرے گا وہ اپنے ہی بھلے کے لیے ہدایت اختیار کرے گا اور جو گمراہ ہو اُس سے کہہ دو کہ میں تو بس خبردار کر دینے والا ہوں

And to recite the Qur'an." And whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] himself; and whoever strays - say, "I am only [one] of the warners."
