اِلَّا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَذَکَرُوا اللّٰہَ کَثِیۡرًا وَّانۡتَصَرُوۡا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا ظُلِمُوۡا ۗ وَسَیَعۡلَمُ الَّذِیۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡۤا اَیَّ مُنۡقَلَبٍ یَّنۡقَلِبُوۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and retaliate only after they are wronged. And the wrongdoers will soon know to what place of return they shall return.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
سوائے اُن کے جو (اُن میں سے) ایمان لائے اور نیک اعمال بجا لائے اور کثرت سے اللہ کو یاد کیا اور ظلم کا نشانہ بننے کے بعد اس کا بدلہ لیا۔ اور وہ جنہوں نے ظلم کیا عنقریب جان لیں گے کہ وہ کس لَوٹنے کے مقام پر لَوٹ جائیں گے۔
French
Excepté ceux qui croient et font de bonnes œuvres, et qui se souviennent beaucoup d’Allāh, et se défendent seulement après avoir été injustement traités. Et les injustes sauront bientôt à quel lieu de retour sera leur retour.

Die ausgenommen, die glauben und gute Werke verrichten und Allahs häufig gedenken und sich (nur) verteidigen, nachdem ihnen Unbill widerfuhr. Und die Frevler werden bald erfahren, zu welchem Ort sie zurückkehren werden.

Excepto quienes creen y practican las buenas obras, recuerdan mucho a Al-lah y se defienden únicamente después de ser perjudicados. Mas los malvados pronto sabrán a qué lugar retornarán.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
سوائے (شاعروں میں سے) مومنوں اور نیک عمل کرنے والوں کے اور ان کے جو اللہ کا (اپنے شعروں میں) کثرت سے ذکر کرتے ہیں اور (اگر ہجو کرتے ہیں تو ابتدا نہیں کرتے بلکہ) مظلوم ہونے کے بعد (جائز) بدلہ لیتے ہیں اور وہ لوگ جو کہ ظالم ہیں۔ ضرور جان لیں گے کہ کس مقام کی طرف ان کو لوٹ کر جانا ہوگا۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
Save those who believe and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are wronged. And the wrongdoers shall soon know to what place of return they shall return.

Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and retaliate only after they are wronged. And the wrongdoers will soon know to what place of return they shall return.[2813A]
Commentary:
In this verse an exception has been made in regard to a certain class of poets, viz. that not all poets belong to the category referred to above (vv. 225-227). There are poets who use their God-given poetic gifts to further the cause of truth and lead righteous lives. They are excepted from the poets referred to above.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
بجز اُن لوگوں کے جو ایمان لائے اور جنہوں نے نیک عمل کیے اور اللہ کو کثرت سے یاد کیا اور جب ان پر ظلم کیا گیا تو صرف بدلہ لے لیا، اور ظلم کرنے والوں کو عنقریب معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ وہ کس انجام سے دوچار ہوتے ہیں
English - Sahih
Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.

مگروہ جو ایمان لائے اور نیک کام کیے اور الله کوبہت یاد کیا اور مظلوم ہونے کے بعد بدلہ لیا اور ظالموں کو ابھی معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ کس کروٹ پر پڑتے ہیں
