قَالَ یٰقَوۡمِ اَرَءَیۡتُمۡ اِنۡ کُنۡتُ عَلٰی بَیِّنَۃٍ مِّنۡ رَّبِّیۡ وَاٰتٰٮنِیۡ مِنۡہُ رَحۡمَۃً فَمَنۡ یَّنۡصُرُنِیۡ مِنَ اللّٰہِ اِنۡ عَصَیۡتُہٗ ۖ فَمَا تَزِیۡدُوۡنَنِیۡ غَیۡرَ تَخۡسِیۡرٍ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
He said, ‘O my people, tell me: if I stand on a clear proof from my Lord, and He has granted me mercy from Himself, who then will help me against Allah, if I disobey Him? So you will not but add to my destruction.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اس نے کہا اے میری قوم! مجھے بتاؤ تو سہی کہ اگر میں اپنے ربّ کی طرف سے ایک واضح حجت پر قائم ہوں اور اس نے مجھے اپنی طرف سے رحمت عطا کی ہو تو کون مجھے اللہ سے بچانے میں میری مدد کرے گا اگر میں اُس کی نافرمانی کروں۔ پس تم تو مجھے نقصان کے سوا کسی اور چیز میں نہیں بڑھاؤ گے۔
French
Il dit, « Ô mon peuple, dites-moi si je suis sur une preuve éclatante de la part de mon Seigneur et Il m’a accordé miséricorde de Sa part, qui donc m’aidera contre la punition d’Allāh, si je Lui désobéis ? Ainsi vous ne feriez qu’ajouter à ma perte.

Er sprach: "O mein Volk, saget an: wenn ich einen klaren Beweis von meinem Herrn habe, und Er hat mir Seine Barmherzigkeit erwiesen, wer wird mir dann helfen wider Allah, wenn ich Ihm ungehorsam bin? So würdet ihr nur mein Verderben herbeiführen.

Él dijo: “Oh pueblo mío, decidme: si me apoyo en una prueba evidente de mi Señor, y Él me ha concedido Su misericordia, ¿quién me ayudará pues contra Al-lah si lo desobedezco? Vosotros no haríais sino aumentar mi destrucción”;
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اس نے کہا اے میری قوم! بتاؤ اگر میں (فی الواقعہ اپنے دعویٰ کی بنا) اپنے رب کی طرف سے (عطا شدہ) کسی روشن ثبوت پر (رکھتا) ہوں۔ اور اس نے مجھے اپنی جناب سے ایک (خاص) رحمت عطا کی ہے تو (باوجود اس کے) اگر میں اس کی نافرمانی کروں تو اللہ کے مقابل پر کون میری مدد کرے گا۔ پھر (اس وقت تو) تم مجھے سوائے تباہی میں ڈالنے کے (اور) کسی بات میں نہیں بڑھاؤ گے۔

He said, [a]‘O my people, tell me, if I base my claim on a clear proof from my Lord and He has granted me a special mercy from Himself, who then will help me against Allah, if I disobey Him? So you will only add to my destruction;

He said, [a]‘O my people, tell me, if I stand on a clear proof from my Lord, and He has granted me mercy from Himself, who then will help me against Allah, if I disobey Him? So you will not but add to my destruction.[1444]

Commentary:
Salih here answers the objection of his people mentioned in the preceding verse to the effect that, but for the doubts created in their hearts by his teachings, they would have taken him as their chief. His reply is that if he is a true Messenger of God, it would do him no good to forsake Divine teachings and ally himself with them; it would bring on him only ruin and destruction.

صالحؑ نے کہا "اے برادران قوم، تم نے کچھ اس بات پر بھی غور کیا کہ اگر میں اپنے رب کی طرف سے ایک صاف شہادت رکھتا تھا، اور پھر اس نے اپنی رحمت سے بھی مجھ کو نواز دیا تو اِس کے بعد اللہ کی پکڑ سے مجھے کون بچائے گا اگر میں اُس کی نافرمانی کروں؟ تم میرے کس کام آ سکتے ہو سوائے اس کے کہ مجھے اور زیادہ خسارے میں ڈال دو

He said, "O my people, have you considered: if I should be upon clear evidence from my Lord and He has given me mercy from Himself, who would protect me from Allah if I disobeyed Him? So you would not increase me except in loss.

صالح نے کہا اےمیری قوم بھلا دیکھو تو اگر میں اپنے رب کی طرف سے کوئی کھلی دلیل رکھتا ہوں اور اس کی طرف سے میرے پاس رحمت بھی آ چکی ہو پھر اگر میں اس کی نافرمانی کروں تو مجھے اس سے کون بچا سکتا ہے پھر تم مجھے نقصان کے سوا اور کیا دے سکو گے

He said, "O my people! Do you see, if I am on a clear proof from my Lord, and He has given me from Him, a Mercy then who (can) help me against Allah, if I (were to) disobey Him? So not you would increase me but (in) loss.

He said, 'O my people, what think you? If I stand upon a clear sign from my Lord, and He has given me mercy from Him, who shall help me against God if I rebel against Him? You would do nothing for me, except increase my loss.
