English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And the inmates of Heaven will call out to the inmates of Hell: ‘We have indeed found what our Lord promised us to be true. Have you too found what your Lord promised you to be true?’ They shall say: ‘Yes’. Then a proclaimer shall proclaim between them saying, ‘The curse of Allah is on the wrongdoers —

اور اہلِ جنت اہلِ نار کو آواز دیں گے کہ ہم نے اس وعدے کو جو ہمارے ربّ نے ہم سے کیا تھا حق پایا ہے تو کیا تم نے بھی اس وعدے کو حق پایا جو تمہارے ربّ نے (تم سے) کیا تھا۔ وہ کہیں گے ہاں، تب ایک اعلان کرنے والا ان کے درمیان اعلان کرے گا کہ ظالموں پر اللہ کی لعنت ہو

Et les habitants du Paradis appelleront ceux de l’Enfer ainsi : « Nous avons assurément trouvé vrai ce que notre Seigneur nous avait promis. Avez-vous aussi trouvé vrai ce que votre Seigneur vous avait promis ? » Ils diront ; « Oui. » Ensuite, un crieur proclamera parmi eux : « Que la malédiction d’Allāh soit sur les personnes malfaisantes –

Y los moradores del Cielo gritarán a los del Infierno: “En verdad hemos comprobado que lo que Nuestro Señor nos prometió es cierto. ¿Habéis comprobado también ser cierta la promesa de vuestro Señor?”. llos dirán: “Sí”. Luego, un pregonero anunciará entre ellos, diciendo: “La maldición de Al-lah cae sobre los injustos”.

اور جنتی لوگ دوزخیوں سے کہیں گے کہ ہم سے ہمارے رب نے جو وعدہ کیا تھا اس کو تو ہم نے سچا پالیا‘ کیا تم نے بھی اس وعدہ کو جو تمہارے رب نے کیا تھا سچا پایا ہے اس پر (دوزخی) کہیں گے‘ ہاں! (ہاں) پس ایک پکارنے والا ان کے درمیان زور سے پکارے گا۔ کہ ان ظالموں پر خدا کی لعنت ہو۔

Commentary:
A highly significant dialogue between the inmates of Heaven and of Hell begins from this verse.
The word, الظالمین (wrongdoers), may also be rendered as "idolaters" or "worshippers of false deities". See 31:14.

پھر یہ جنت کے لوگ دوزخ والوں سے پکار کر کہیں گے، "ہم نے اُن سارے وعدوں کو ٹھیک پا لیا جو ہمارے رب نے ہم سے کیے تھے، کیا تم نے بھی ان وعدوں کو ٹھیک پایا جو تمہارے رب نے کیے تھے؟" وہ جواب دیں گے "ہاں" تب ایک پکارنے والا ان کے درمیان پکارے گا کہ "خدا کی لعنت اُن ظالموں پر

And the companions of Paradise will call out to the companions of the Fire, "We have already found what our Lord promised us to be true. Have you found what your Lord promised to be true?" They will say, "Yes." Then an announcer will announce among them, "The curse of Allah shall be upon the wrongdoers."

اور بہشت والے دوزخیوں کو پکاریں گے کہ ہم نے وعدہ سچا پایا جو ہمارے رب نے ہم سے کیا تھا آیاتم بھی اپنے رب کے وعدہ کو سچا پایا وہ کہیں گے ہاں پھر ایک پکارنے والا ان کے درمیان پکارے گا کہ ان ظالمو ں پر الله کی لعنت ہے

A highly significant dialogue between the inmates of Heaven and of Hell begins from this verse.

(اس پر ہر رسول نے) جواب دیا کہ کیا اگر میں تمہارے پاس اس سے بہتر تعلیم لے آؤں جس پر تم نے اپنے باپ دادوں کو پایا تھا (تب بھی تم اس پر مصر رہو گے؟) تو انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ جس تعلیم کے ساتھ تم کو بھیجا گیا ہے‘ ہم اس کے منکر ہیں!

Their Messenger said, ‘What! even though I bring you a better guidance than that which you found your fathers following?’ They said, ‘Certainly we disbelieve in that which you are sent with.’

Their Warner said: ‘What! even though I bring you a better guidance than that which you found your fathers following?’ They said: ‘Certainly we disbelieve in that which you are sent with.’[3658]
Commentary:
The verse exposes the absurdity of the plea of disbelievers that they would not give up the time-honoured customs observed by their forefathers and the beliefs held by them. It means to say that if this plea were accepted as valid, then no reform could ever take place because it is only when people stick to false and foolish beliefs and fall into evil ways that a Divine Reformer is sent to guide them to the path of virtue and wean them away from their cherished beliefs? If, after the falsity of their beliefs is demonstrated to them, the disbelievers still persist in their perversity, how can a reformation take place? But such is the tragedy of human affairs that men would not easily accept truth and would rather continue to invent pleas and pretexts for rejecting it.

ہر نبی نے ان سے پوچھا، کیا تم اُسی ڈگر پر چلے جاؤ گے خواہ میں اُس راستے سے زیادہ صحیح راستہ تمہیں بتاؤں جس پر تم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو پایا ہے؟ انہوں نے سارے رسولوں کو یہی جواب دیا کہ جس دین کی طرف بلانے کے لیے تم بھیجے گئے ہو ہم اُس کے کافر ہیں

Commentary:
