يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَا يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ مَعَهُمْ إِذْ يُبَيِّتُونَ مَا لَا يَرْضَىٰ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطًا
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
They seek to hide from men, but they cannot hide from Allah; and He is with them when they spend the night plotting about matters of which He does not approve. And Allah encompasses what they do.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
وہ لوگوں سے تو چُھپ جاتے ہیں جبکہ اللہ سے نہیں چُھپ سکتے۔ اور وہ ان کے ساتھ ہوتا ہے جب وہ راتیں ایسی باتیں کرتے ہوئے گزارتے ہیں جو وہ پسند نہیں کرتا۔ اور اللہ اُسے گھیرے ہوئے ہے جو وہ کرتے ہیں۔

Ils se cachent des hommes, alors qu’ils ne peuvent se cacher d’Allāh ; et Il est auprès d’eux quand ils passent la nuit complotant des affaires dont Il n’approuve pas. Et Allāh cerne tout ce qu’ils font.

Procuran ocultarse de los hombres, pero no se cuidan de ocultarse de Al-lah; y Él está con ellos cuando pasan la noche tramando sobre asuntos que Él no aprueba. Pues Al-lah abarca todo cuanto hacen.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
وہ لوگوں سے پردہ رکھتے ہیں اور اللہ سے پردہ نہیں رکھتے۔ حالانکہ جب وہ رات کو ایسی باتوں کے مشورے کر رہے ہوتے ہیں جنہیں اللہ پسند نہیں کرتا (تو) وہ ان کے پاس ہوتا ہے اور جو کچھ وہ کر رہے ہیں اللہ اس کا قلع قمع کرنے والا ہے۔

They seek to hide their designs from men, but they cannot hide them from Allah; and [c]He is present with them when they plot at night about matters which He does not approve. And Allah encompasses what they do.

یہ لو گ انسانوں سے اپنی حرکات چھپا سکتے ہیں مگر خدا سے نہیں چھپا سکتے وہ تواُس وقت بھی اُن کے ساتھ ہوتا ہے جب یہ راتوں کو چھپ کر اُس کی مرضی کے خلاف مشورے کرتے ہیں اِن کے سارے اعمال پر اللہ محیط ہے
English - Sahih
They conceal [their evil intentions and deeds] from the people, but they cannot conceal [them] from Allah, and He is with them [in His knowledge] when they spend the night in such as He does not accept of speech. And ever is Allah, of what they do, encompassing.

یہ لوگوں سے تو چھپتے ہیں اور خدا سے نہیں چھپتے حالانکہ جب وہ راتوں کو ایسی باتوں کے مشورے کیا کرتے ہیں جن کو وہ پسند نہیں کرتا ان کے ساتھ ہوا کرتا ہے اور خدا ان کے (تمام) کاموں پر احاطہ کئے ہوئے ہے

اور وہ (محض منہ سے) ”اطاعت“ کہتے ہیں! پھر جب وہ تجھ سے الگ ہوتے ہیں تو اُن میں سے ایک گروہ ایسی باتیں کرتے ہوئے رات گزارتا ہے جو اس سے مختلف ہیں جو تُو کہتا ہے۔ اور اللہ ان کی رات کی باتوں کو احاطہء تحریر میں لے آتا ہے۔ پس ان سے اِعراض کر اور اللہ پر توکّل کر اور اللہ کارساز کے طور پر کافی ہے۔

Et ils disent de leur bouche seulement : « L’obéissance ! « mais lorsqu’ils s'éloignent de ta présence, une partie d’entre eux passe la nuit à dire des choses autres que ce que tu dis. Allāh enregistre leurs complots nocturnes. Ainsi, détourne-toi d’eux et mets ta confiance en Allāh. Et Allāh suffit comme Protecteur.

Und sie sagen: "Gehorsam (ist unser Leitsatz)", doch wenn sie von dir gehen, dann ersinnt ein Teil von ihnen Anschläge gegen das, was du gesagt. Allah aber zeichnet alles auf, was sie an Anschlägen ersinnen. So wende dich von ihnen ab und vertraue auf Allah. Und Allah genügt als Vertrauter.

Ed essi dicono: «L'Obbedienza è il nostro principio guida.» Ma quando si allontanano dal tuo cospetto, parte di loro passa la notte a tramare cose diverse da quello che tu hai detto. Allah documenta qualunque cosa tramino durante la notte. Così, allontanati da loro e poni la tua fiducia in Allah. E ti basta Allah come Dispositore delle cose.
Spanish
Y dicen: “La obediencia es el principio que nos guía”; pero cuando se retiran de tu presencia, una parte de ellos pasa la noche intrigando contra lo que tú dices. Mas Al-lah toma nota de cuanto traman por la noche. Aléjate, pues, de ellos y pon tu confianza en Al-lah. Al-lah es suficiente como Ordenador de asuntos.

اور وہ کہتے ہیں (کہ ہمارا کام تو) فرمانبرداری (ہے) پھر جب تیرے پاس سے چلے جاتے ہیں تو ان میں سے ایک گروہ جو کچھ تو کہتا ہے اس کے مخالف تدبیریں کرتا ہے۔ اور جو تدبیریں وہ کرتے ہیں اللہ انہیں محفوظ[2] کرتا جاتا ہے اس لئے تو ان سے اعراض کر اور اللہ پر بھروسہ رکھ اور اللہ کے بعد کسی اور کارساز کی ضرورت نہیں۔
یعنی ان کا حساب رکھتا جاتا ہے۔ وقت آنے پر اس کی سزا دے گا۔

The reference is to secret plotting, whether by night or during the day. As generally secret plotting is done at night, the word Bayyata has been used here, the night time affording a sort of cover and secrecy.

بیت (spends the night scheming) is derived from بات meaning, he passed or spent the night. بات زید نائما means, Zaid passed the night sleeping. بیت الامر means, he did or designed or schemed the thing at night. بیت رأیه means, he thought upon his opinion and concealed it, or he conceived it in his mind. بیت العدو means, he attacked the enemy, and took him by surprise by night (Lane & Aqrab).
Commentary:
The word "night" or "scheming by night" should not be taken too literally. The reference is to secret plotting, whether by night or during the daytime. As generally secret plotting is done at night, the word بیت has been used, the night time affording a sort of cover and secrecy.
