فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمْ وَكُفْرِهِم بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَتْلِهِمُ ٱلْأَنۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَقَوْلِهِمْ قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفٌۢ ۚ بَلْ طَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Then, because of their breaking of their covenant, and their denial of the Signs of Allah, and their seeking to kill the Prophets unjustly, and their saying: ‘Our hearts are wrapped in covers,’ — nay, but Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not but little —
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
پس ان کے اپنا عہد توڑنے کے سبب سے اور ان کے اللہ کی آیات کے انکار اور انبیاءکی ناحق شدید مخالفت کے باعث اور ان کے یہ کہنے کی وجہ سے کہ ہمارے دل پردے میں ہیں۔ بلکہ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ اللہ نے اُن کے کفر کی وجہ سے ان (دلوں) پر مہر لگا رکھی ہے۔ پس وہ ایمان نہیں لائیں گے مگر تھوڑا۔

Tout est venu de ce qu’ils ont violé leur engagement et qu’ils n’ont pas cru aux Signes d’Allāh, et qu’ils ont cherché à tuer injustement les Prophètes, et qu’ils ont dit : « Nos cœurs sont enveloppés de voiles » – en fait c’est Allāh Qui leur a scellé le cœur à cause de leur mécréance, de sorte qu’ils ne croient qu’à peine –

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
پھر ان کے اپنے عہد کو توڑ دینے (کے سبب سے) اور ان کے اللہ کی آیتوں کا انکار اور ان کے نبیوں کو قتل[2] کرنے کی بلاوجہ کوشش (کے سبب سے) اور یہ (بات) کہنے کے سبب سے کہ ہمارے دل پردوں میں ہیں (پردوں میں) نہیں بلکہ اللہ نے ان کے کفر کے سبب سے ان (کے دلوں) پر مہر کر دی ہے اس لئے وہ بالکل ایمان نہیں لاتے۔
اس جگہ سب نبیوں کے قتل کا ذکر ہے اور سب تاریخیں اس پر متفق ہیں کہ سب نبیوں کو انہوں نے قتل نہیں کیا۔ پس اس جگہ قتل کے ارادہ کا ذکر ہے اور مصدر یا فعل کبھی مکمل ہوتا ہے۔ کبھی ادھورا اور دونوں کے لئے ایک لفظ بولا جاتا ہے۔ پس اس جگہ بھی قتل سے مراد قتل کا ارادہ یا ایسی تکلیفیں ہیں جن کا نتیجہ بعض دفعہ قتل ہوتا ہے۔

So, for their breaking their covenant, and [d]their denial of the Signs of Allah, and [e]their seeking to slay the Prophets unjustly, and their saying: [f]‘Our hearts are wrapped up in covers,’—nay, but [g]Allah has sealed[695] them because of their disbelief, so they believe not but little—

آخر کا ر اِن کی عہد شکنی کی وجہ سے، اور اس وجہ سے کہ انہوں نے اللہ کی آیات کو جھٹلایا، اور متعدد پیغمبروں کو نا حق قتل کیا، اور یہاں تک کہا کہ ہمارے دل غلافوں میں محفوظ ہیں حالانکہ در حقیقت اِن کی باطل پرستی کے سبب سے اللہ نے اِن کے دلوں پر ٹھپہ لگا دیا ہے اور اسی وجہ سے یہ بہت کم ایمان لاتے ہیں
English - Sahih
And [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allah and their killing of the prophets without right and their saying, "Our hearts are wrapped". Rather, Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.
