قَالُوۡا وَاَقۡبَلُوۡا عَلَیۡہِمۡ مَّاذَا تَفۡقِدُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

They said, turning towards them, ‘What is it that you miss?’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

انہوں نے ان کی طرف متوجہ ہوتے ہوئے جواب دیا تم کیا گم پاتے ہو۔

French

En se tournant vers eux, ils dirent : « Qu’est-ce qu’il vous manque ? »

German

Sie sprachen, indem sie sich zu ihnen wandten: "Was ist es, das ihr vermisset?"

Chinese

他们转向他们说: “你们遗失了什么?”

Italian

Essi dissero, volgendosi verso di loro: «Che cos'è che vi manca?»

Spanish

Respondieron, volviéndose hacia ellos: “¿Qué echáis en falta?”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

انہوں نے (یعنی برادران یوسف نے) ان (شاہی کارندوں) کی طرف رخ کرکے کہا (کہ) تم کیا چیز گم پاتے ہو؟۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

They said, turning round towards them, ‘What is it that you miss?’

They said, turning towards them, ‘What is it that you miss?’[1573]

Commentary:

The words, turning towards them, hint that on this occasion Joseph’s brothers had no guilty conscience.

انہوں نے پلٹ کر پوچھا "تمہاری کیا چیز کھوئی گئی؟ "
