وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And We saved them both and their people from the great distress;

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اُن دونوں کو اور اُن کی قوم کو ہم نے بہت بڑے کرب سے نجات بخشی تھی۔

French

Et Nous les sauvâmes tous deux ainsi que leur peuple de l'immense détresse ;

German

Und Wir erretteten sie beide und ihr Volk aus der großen Bedrängnis;

Chinese

[d]我使他俩和他俩的族人脱离大的灾难;

Italian

E salvammo ambedue, insieme al loro popolo, dalla grande sventura;

Spanish

Salvamos a los dos y a su pueblo de la gran calamidad;

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور ہم نے ان دونوں کو اور ان کی قوم کو ایک بڑے غم اور بوجھ سے نجات دی تھی۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[d]And We saved them both and their people from the great distress;

20:81; 26:66.

Commentary:

The reference to "great distress" may be found elsewhere in the Quran (2:50) in the words: And remember the time when we delivered you from Pharaoh’s people who afflicted you with grievous torment, slaying your sons and sparing your women and in that there was a great trial for you from your Lord.
