45:16

مَنۡ عَمِلَ صٰلِحًا فَلِنَفۡسِہٖ ۖ وَمَنۡ اَسَآءَ فَعَلَیۡہَا ۖ ثُمَّ اِلٰی رَبِّکُمۡ تُرۡجَعُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Whoso does right, does it for his own soul; and whoso does wrong, does so to its detriment. Then to your Lord will you all be brought back.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

جو نیک اعمال بجا لاتا ہے تو اپنے لئے ہی ایسا کرتا ہے اور جو کوئی بدی کرتا ہے تو خود اپنے خلاف۔ پھر تم اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹائے جاؤگے۔

French

Quiconque fait le bien, le fait pour sa propre âme, et quiconque fait le mal, c’est à son détriment. Ensuite à votre Seigneur, vous serez tous ramenés.

German

Wer das Rechte tut, der tut es für seine eigene Seele, und wer Unrecht tut, der tut es wider sie. Zuletzt werdet ihr zu eurem Herrn zurückgebracht werden.

Chinese

[a]凡是行善的人, 他的善行使他自己得到益处, 凡是作恶的人, 他的恶行损害他自己, 最后, 你们都得归向你们的养主。

29:7.

Italian

Chiunque faccia il bene, lo fa per la propria anima. E chiunque faccia il male, lo fa a proprio danno. Poi tutti sarete ricondotti al vostro Signore.

Spanish

Quien actúa rectamente lo hace por su propia alma. Y quien practica el mal lo hace en su propio perjuicio. Luego seréis todos devueltos a vuestro Señor.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

جو کوئی ایمان کے مطابق عمل کرتا ہے اس کا فائدہ اسی کی جان کو پہنچتا ہے اور جو کوئی برے کام کرتا ہے اس کا نقصان[1] (بھی) اسی کی جان کو پہنچتا ہے پھر تم اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹا کر لے جائے جاؤ گے۔

یہاں عَلٰی کا صلہ ہے جس کے معنے کسی مخالف چیز کے ہوتے ہیں۔ اس لئے ہم نے اس کا ترجمہ نقصان کیا ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

جو کوئی نیک عمل کرے گا اپنے ہی لیے کرے گا، اور جو برائی کرے گا وہ آپ ہی اس کا خمیازہ بھگتے گا پھر جانا تو سب کو اپنے رب ہی کی طرف ہے

English - Sahih

Whoever does a good deed - it is for himself; and whoever does evil - it is against the self. Then to your Lord you will be returned.

جو کوئی نیک کام کرتا ہے وہ اپنے ہی لیے کرتا ہے اورجو کوئی برائی کرتا ہے تو اپنے سر پر وبال لیتا ہے پھر تم اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گے

English - Talal Itani

Whoever does a righteous deed, then it is for his soul, and whoever does evil, then it (is) against it. Then to your Lord you will be returned.

اردہ تفصیرِ صغیر نوٹس ^*

یہاں عَلٰی کا صلہ ہے جس کے معنے کسی مخالف چیز کے ہوتے ہیں۔ اس لئے ہم نے اس کا ترجمہ نقصان کیا ہے۔

English - Arberry

Whoso does righteousness, it is to his own gain, and whoso does evil, it is to his own loss; then to your Lord you shall be returned.

Whoever acts righteously, does so to his own good; and whoever commits an evil will suffer its consequence. All of you will then be sent back to your Lord.

He who does good does so for himself; and he who does evil suffers the consequence thereof. You have then to go back to your Lord.

If any one does a righteous deed, it ensures to the benefit of his own soul; if he does evil, it works against (his own soul). In the end will ye (all) be brought back to your Lord.
