أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ وَٱلنُّجُومُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ وَٱلدَّوَآبُّ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۗ وَمَن يُهِنِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن مُّكْرِمٍ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۩

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Hast thou not seen that to Allah submits whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and the beasts, and many of mankind? But there are many who become deserving of punishment. And whomsoever Allah disgraces, none can raise him to honour. Verily, Allah does what He pleases.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

کیا تُو نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ ہی ہے کہ اسے سجدہ کرتا ہے جو آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو زمین میں ہے اور شمس وقمر بھی اور نجوم بھی اور پہاڑ اور درخت بھی اور چلنے پھرنے والے تمام جاندار اور بکثرت انسان بھی۔ جبکہ بہت سے ایسے ہیں جن پر اس کا عذاب لازم ہو چکا ہے۔ اور جسے اللہ رسوا کر دے تو اس کو عزت دینے والا کوئی نہیں۔ یقیناً اللہ جو چاہتا ہے کرتا ہے۔

French

N’as-tu pas vu qu’à Allāh se soumettent quiconque est dans les cieux et quiconque est sur la terre, et le soleil, et la lune, et les étoiles, et les montagnes, et les arbres, et les bêtes, et bien des hommes ? Mais il y en a beaucoup qui méritent le châtiment. Et quiconque Allāh abaisse, personne ne peut lui conférer l’honneur. En vérité, Allāh fait ce qu’Il veut.

German

Hast du nicht gesehen, dass sich vor Allah anbetend beugt, wer in den Himmeln und wer auf Erden ist, und die Sonne, und der Mond, und die Sterne, und die Berge, und die Bäume, und die Tiere, und viele der Menschen? Vielen aber gebührt die Strafe. Und wen Allah erniedrigt, dem kann keiner Ehre geben. Wahrlich, Allah tut, was Er will.

(伊斯兰的反对者啊!) 你没看见凡在天上的、地上的、日、月、星辰、山岳、树木、牲畜以及许多的人[a]都顺从[856]安拉? 但有许多人应受惩罚。凡安拉所鄙视的人, 再没有人给他名誉。安拉确做他愿做的。

13:16; 16:49, 50; 55:7.

安拉已确定了一种规律--------一切被创造的事物, 生物或非生物都得服从的自然规律。服从这些规律是绝对的, 然而还存在某些其他规律--------宗教规律。安拉已赐示指引人们的规律。人们服从或不服从, 乃至反抗这些规律, 都要承受自己违抗所造成的后果。这节经文使除了安拉以外, 以自然界物体作为崇拜对象的多神教徒更清楚地认识到自己是多么愚蠢与无益。这节经文说明世上万物存在都取决于安拉。万物都得服从安拉所制定的规律, 生活中无时无刻都不能没有安拉。因此, 敬慕与崇拜那些本身就该服从安拉所制定规律的事物与生灵, 是十分愚蠢的。

Non hai forse visto che ad Allah si sottomette chiunque è nei cieli e chiunque è sulla terra, e il sole, e la luna, e le stelle, e i monti, e gli alberi, e gli animali, e molti degli uomini? Ma ci sono molti che si meritano il castigo. E chiunque Allah disonori, non avrà chi lo risollevi nell'onore. In verità, Allah fa ciò che Gli piace.

¿No has reparado en que todo cuanto hay en los cielos y en la tierra se somete a Al-lah, así como el sol, la luna, las estrellas, las montañas y los árboles, las bestias y muchos humanos? Mas hay muchos que se hacen merecedores del castigo. Pues a quien Al-lah humille, nadie podrá honrarlo. En verdad, Al-lah hace lo que desea.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

(اے اسلام کے مخالف) کیا تو نہیں دیکھتا کہ جو کوئی بھی آسمان میں ہے وہ اللہ کی فرمانبرداری کرتا ہے اور اسی طرح جو کوئی زمین میں ہے اور سورج بھی اور چاند بھی اور ستارے بھی اور پہاڑ بھی اور درخت بھی اور چارپائے بھی اور لوگوں میں سے بھی بہت سے۔ لیکن لوگوں میں سے ایک گروہ کثیر ایسا ہے جس کے متعلق عذاب کا فیصلہ ہو چکا ہے اور جس کو خدا ذلیل کرے اسے کوئی عزت دینے والا نہیں۔ اللہ جو کچھ چاہتا ہے کرتا ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

Hast thou not seen that [a]to Allah submits whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and the beasts, and many of mankind?[1940] But there are many who become deserving of punishment. And whomsoever Allah disgraces, none can raise him to honour. Verily, Allah does what He pleases.

God has fixed certain laws—natural laws, which all created things, animate or inanimate, have to obey. There is no escape from submission to these laws. There are, however, certain other laws—the laws of the Shari‘ah which God has revealed for the guidance of man. Man may obey or disobey and defy these laws and may suffer the consequences of his defiance. The verse further brings home to idolaters the folly and futility of their taking the objects of nature for worship beside Allah. It says that all these things depend upon Him for their very existence. They submit to the laws He has fixed for them and cannot live independently of God for a moment. It is sheer folly, therefore, to adore and worship things and beings which are themselves subject to God-made laws.

Commentary:

The verse further brings home to idolaters the folly and futility of their taking the objects of nature for worship besides Allah. It says that all these things depend upon Him for their very existence. They all submit to the laws He has fixed for them and cannot live independently of God for a moment. It is sheer folly, therefore, to adore and worship things and beings which are themselves subject to God-made laws. The expression یسجد له کثیر من الناس و کثیر حق علیه العذاب besides the meaning given in the text, may also mean that many from among men submit to Allah and many others incur His displeasure and punishment because they do not submit to laws made by Him.

کیا تم دیکھتے نہیں ہو کہ اللہ کے آگے سربسجود ہیں وہ سب جو آسمانوں میں ہیں اور جو زمین میں ہیں، سورج اور چاند اور تارے اور پہاڑ اور درخت اور جانور اور بہت سے انسان اور بہت سے وہ لوگ بھی جو عذاب کے مستحق ہو چکے ہیں؟ اور جسے اللہ ذلیل و خوار کر دے اُسے پھر کوئی عزّت دینے والا نہیں ہے، اللہ کرتا ہے جو کچھ چاہتا ہے

English - Sahih

Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the moving creatures and many of the people? But upon many the punishment has been justified. And he whom Allah humiliates - for him there is no bestower of honor. Indeed, Allah does what He wills.

کیا تم نےنہیں دیکھا کہ جو کوئی آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کوئی زمین میں ہے اور سورج اور چاند اور ستارے اور پہاڑ اور درخت اورچار پائے اور بہت سے آدمی الله ہی کو سجدہ کرتے ہیں اور بہت سے ہیں کہ جن پر عذاب مقرر ہو چکا ہے اور جسے الله ذلیل کرتا ہے پھر اسے کوئی عزت نہیں دےسکتا بے شک الله جو چاہتا ہے کرتا ہے

And many merit the chastisement; and whom God abases, there is none to honour him. God does whatsoever He will.

Have you not seen that all those who are in the heavens and all those who are in the earth prostrate themselves before Allah; and so do the sun and the moon, and the stars and the mountains, and the trees, and the beasts, and so do many human beings, and even many of those who are condemned to chastisement?
