And they will say, ‘If we had but listened or possessed sense, we should not have been among the inmates of the blazing Fire.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور وہ کہیں گے اگر ہم (غور سے) سُنتے یا عقل سے کام لیتے تو ہم آگ میں پڑنے والوں میں شامل نہ ہوتے۔

French

Et ils diront : « Si seulement nous avions écouté, ou avions raisonné, nous ne nous serions pas trouvés parmi les habitants de la Fournaise de l’Enfer. »

Sie werden sprechen: "Hätten wir nur zugehört oder Verstand gehabt, wir wären nicht unter den Bewohnern des flammenden Feuers gewesen."

而且他们 (也) 说: “如果我们倾听或运用理智,[1449] 那么, 我们绝不会成为火狱中的人。”

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور ان لوگوں نے یہ بھی کہا کہ اگر ہم سننے کی طاقت رکھتے یا عقل رکھتے تو کبھی دوزخی نہ بنتے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And they will say, ‘Had we but listened or had sense,[3080A] we should not have been among the inmates of the blazing Fire.’

And they will say,[a] ‘Had we but listened or possessed sense, we should not have been among the inmates of the blazing Fire.’

اور وہ کہیں گے "کاش ہم سنتے یا سمجھتے تو آج اِس بھڑکتی ہوئی آگ کے سزا واروں میں نہ شامل ہوتے"

And they will say, "If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze."

اور کہیں گے کہ اگر ہم نے سنا یا سمجھا ہوتا تو ہم دوزخیوں میں نہ ہوتے
