English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And Messengers indeed have been rejected before thee; but notwithstanding their rejection and persecution they remained patient until Our help came to them. There is none that can change the words of Allah. And there have already come to thee tidings of past Messengers.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور یقیناً تجھ سے پہلے بھی رسول جھٹلائے گئے تھے اور انہوں نے اس پر کہ وہ جھٹلائے گئے اور بہت ستائے گئے صبر کیا یہاں تک کہ ان تک ہماری مدد آپہنچی۔ اور اللہ کے کلمات کو کوئی تبدیل کرنے والا نہیں اور یقیناً تیرے پاس مرسَلین کی خبریں آچکی ہیں۔

Et en vérité, avant toi des Messagers ont été traités de menteurs ; mais bien qu’ils fussent traités de menteurs et persécutés, ils patientèrent jusqu’à ce que Notre secours leur vînt. Personne ne peut changer les paroles d’Allāh. Et des nouvelles des Messagers passés te sont déjà parvenues.

Wohl sind vor dir Gesandte als lügenhaft gescholten worden; doch obwohl sie verleugnet und verfolgt wurden, blieben sie geduldig, bis Unsere Hilfe ihnen kam. Es gibt keinen, der die Worte Allahs zu ändern vermöchte. Wahrlich, schon kam Kunde zu dir von den Gesandten.

Y en verdad, antes de ti otros Mensajeros fueron rechazados; pero a pesar de ser rechazados y perseguidos, resistieron con paciencia hasta que les llegó Nuestra ayuda. No hay nada que pueda cambiar las palabras de Al-lah. Y ya te han llegado noticias de los anteriores Mensajeros.

اور تجھ سے پہلے رسولوں کو بھی یقیناً جھٹلایا جا چکا ہے۔ پھر باوجود اس کے کہ انہیں جھٹلایا گیا اور انہیں تکلیف دی گئی وہ صبر کرتے رہے یہاں تک کہ ان کے پاس ہماری مدد آگئی اور اللہ کی باتوں کو بدلنے والا کوئی نہیں اور تیرے پاس رسولوں کی بعض خبریں یقیناً آہی چکی ہیں۔

God lovingly addresses the Holy Prophet with these words of comfort and solace. He is told that Prophets before him were also rejected, scoffed at and ridiculed.
The Divine law that Divine help comes to the Prophets of God and their enemies come to grief is unalterable.

Commentary:
In this verse God, lovingly addresses the Holy Prophet with words of comfort and solace, as if saying: "We know that thou art indeed pained to see people denying God, but the law of God cannot be changed. We never compel men to become believers." The words, There is none that can change the words of Allah, refer to this very law of God, which is unalterable. The law is twofold: firstly, that whenever a Prophet of God appears, there are always men who deny and oppose him; secondly, that God never compels such men to accept the truth. See 2:257; 3:21; 36:31.

تم سے پہلے بھی بہت سے رسول جھٹلائے جا چکے ہیں، مگر اس تکذیب پر اور اُن اذیتوں پر جو انہیں پہنچائی گئیں، انہوں نے صبر کیا، یہاں تک کہ انہیں ہماری مدد پہنچ گئی اللہ کی باتوں کو بدلنے کی طاقت کسی میں نہیں ہے، اور پچھلے رسولوں کے ساتھ جو کچھ پیش آیا اس کی خبریں تمہیں پہنچ ہی چکی ہیں

And certainly were messengers denied before you, but they were patient over [the effects of] denial, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them. And none can alter the words of Allah. And there has certainly come to you some information about the [previous] messengers.

اور بہت سے رسول تم سے پہلے جھٹلائے گئے پھر انہوں نےجھٹلائے جانے پر صبر کیا اور ایذا دیے گئے یہاں تک کہ ان کو ہماری مدد پہنچی اور الله کے فیصلے کوئی بدل نہیں سکتا اور تمہیں پیغمبروں کے حالات کچھ پہنچ چکے ہیں

Messengers indeed were cried lies to before thee, yet they endured patiently that they were cried lies to, and were hurt, until Our help came unto them. No man can change the words of God; and there has already come to thee some tiding of the Envoys.

Messengers before you have been given the lie to, and they endured with patience their being given the lie to and being persecuted until the time when Our help reached them. None has the power to alter the words of Allah. Indeed some account of the Messengers has already reached you.

Commentary:

اُن لوگوں کو جو اللہ کی آیات کے بارہ میں بغیر کسی غالب دلیل کے جو اُن کے پاس آئی ہو جھگڑتے ہیں۔ اللہ کے نزدیک یہ بہت بڑا گناہ ہے اور اُن کے نزدیک بھی جو ایمان لائے ہیں۔ اسی طرح اللہ ہر متکبر (اور) سخت جابر کے دل پر مہر لگا دیتا ہے۔

Ceux qui discutent à propos des Signes d’Allāh, sans qu’aucune autorité ne leur soit venue. Ceci est extrêmement odieux aux yeux d’Allāh et de ceux qui croient. C’est ainsi qu’Allāh scelle le cœur de tout tyran arrogant. »

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
جو لوگ اللہ کی آیتوں میں بغیر کسی دلیل کے جو ان کے پاس (اللہ کی طرف سے) آئی ہو بحثیں کرتے ہیں (ان کو معلوم ہونا چایئے کہ) یہ اللہ کے نزدیک اور مومنوں کے نزدیک بہت بُرا ہے اسی طرح اللہ متکبر انسان کے پورےکے پورے [1]دل پر مہر لگا دیتا ہے۔
بظاہر یہ الفاظ ہونے چاہئیں۔ کہ ہر متکبر کے دل پر مہر لگا دیتا ہے مگر قرآن مجید کہتا ہے کہ متکبر کے سارے دل پر مہر لگا دیتا ہے۔ قرآن مجید کا یہ استعمال بے نظیر ہے۔ کیونکہ ہر متکبر کے دل پر مہر لگنے سے وہ بات نہیں نکلتی جو ایک کامل متکبر کے سارے دل پر مہر لگانے سے نکلتی ہے کیونکہ اس دوسری بات سے یہ نتیجہ نکالا گیا ہے کہ ہدایت کی راہیں مختلف ہوتی ہیں۔ ایک گمراہ شخص بھی ہدایت کی کوئی راہ پا سکتا ہے لیکن جو کامل متکبر ہو اس کے لئے سب ہدایت کی راہیں بند ہو جاتی ہیں اور دل کے ہر حصہ پر مہر لگ جاتی ہے کوئی راہ ہدایت کی اس کے لئے کھلی نہیں رہتی۔

بظاہر یہ الفاظ ہونے چاہئیں۔ کہ ہر متکبر کے دل پر مہر لگا دیتا ہے مگر قرآن مجید کہتا ہے کہ متکبر کے سارے دل پر مہر لگا دیتا ہے۔ قرآن مجید کا یہ استعمال بے نظیر ہے۔ کیونکہ ہر متکبر کے دل پر مہر لگنے سے وہ بات نہیں نکلتی جو ایک کامل متکبر کے سارے دل پر مہر لگانے سے نکلتی ہے کیونکہ اس دوسری بات سے یہ نتیجہ نکالا گیا ہے کہ ہدایت کی راہیں مختلف ہوتی ہیں۔ ایک گمراہ شخص بھی ہدایت کی کوئی راہ پا سکتا ہے لیکن جو کامل متکبر ہو اس کے لئے سب ہدایت کی راہیں بند ہو جاتی ہیں اور دل کے ہر حصہ پر مہر لگ جاتی ہے کوئی راہ ہدایت کی اس کے لئے کھلی نہیں رہتی۔

Ceux qui discutent à propos des Signes d’Allāh sans qu’aucune autorité leur soit parvenue – il n’y a rien dans leurs poitrines excepté un faux désir de grandeur qu’ils ne réaliseront jamais. Cherche donc refuge auprès d’Allāh. Assurément, Il est Celui Qui Entend Tout, Qui Voit Tout.

Diejenigen, die über die Zeichen Allahs streiten, ohne dass irgendeine Ermächtigung zu ihnen kam – nichts ist in ihren Herzen als Großmannssucht –, sie werden es nicht erreichen. So nimm Zuflucht bei Allah. Fürwahr, Er ist der Allhörende, der Allsehende.

حقیقت یہ ہے کہ جو لوگ کسی سند و حجت کے بغیر جو اُن کے پاس آئی ہو، اللہ کی آیات میں جھگڑے کر رہے ہیں اُن کے دلوں میں کبر بھرا ہوا ہے، مگر وہ اُس بڑائی کو پہنچنے والے نہیں ہیں جس کا وہ گھمنڈ رکھتے ہیں بس اللہ کی پناہ مانگ لو، وہ سب کچھ دیکھتا اور سنتا ہے
