لِّکَیۡلَا تَاۡسَوۡا عَلٰی مَا فَاتَکُمۡ وَلَا تَفۡرَحُوۡا بِمَاۤ اٰتٰٮکُمۡ ۗ وَاللّٰہُ لَا یُحِبُّ کُلَّ مُخۡتَالٍ فَخُوۡرٍ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
That you may not grieve over what is lost to you nor exult because of that which He has given to you. And Allah loves not any selfconceited boaster,
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
(یاد رہے یہ تقدیر الٰہی ہے) تاکہ تم اس پر جو تم سے کھویا گیا غم نہ کرو اور اُس پر اِتراؤ نہیں جو اُس نے تمہیں دیا اور اللہ کسی تکبر کرنے والے، بڑھ بڑھ کر فخر کرنے والے کو پسند نہیں کرتا۔

Afin que vous ne vous désoliez pas de ce qui vous a échappé, et que vous n’exultiez pas non plus à cause de ce qu’Il vous a donné. Et Allāh n’aime pas les vantards infatués,

auf dass ihr euch nicht betrübet um das, was euch entging, noch euch überhebet über das, was Er euch gegeben hat. Und Allah liebt keinen der eingebildeten Prahler,

affinché non vi rattristiate per quello che avete perduto, né esultiate per quello che Egli vi ha donato. E Allah non ama i presuntuosi e i millantatori;

Para que no os aflijáis de lo que habéis perdido, ni os alegréis por lo que se os ha concedido. Pues Al-lah no ama a los engreídos jactanciosos,
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
تا کہ اپنی کوتاہی پر تم کو کوئی افسوس نہ ہو اور نہ اس پر تم خوش ہو جو اللہ تم کو دے اور اللہ ہر شیخی خورے اکڑ باز کو پسند نہیں کرتا۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
[a]That you may not grieve over what is lost to you nor exult because of that which He has bestowed upon you. And Allah loves not any conceited boaster,

اردو ترجمہ مودودی
(یہ سب کچھ اس لیے ہے) تاکہ جو کچھ بھی نقصان تمہیں ہو اس پر تم دل شکستہ نہ ہو اور جو کچھ اللہ تمہیں عطا فرمائے اس پر پھول نہ جاؤ اللہ ایسے لوگوں کو پسند نہیں کرتا جو اپنے آپ کو بڑی چیز سمجھتے ہیں اور فخر جتاتے ہیں
English - Sahih
In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful -

تاکہ جو چیز تمہارے ہاتھ سے جاتی رہے اس پر رنج نہ کرو اور جو تمہیں دے اس پر اتراؤ نہیں اور الله کسی اترانے والے شیخی خورے کو پسند نہیں کرتا
