43:20

وَجَعَلُوا۟ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَٰدُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ إِنَٰثًا ۚ أَشَهِدُوا۟ خَلْقَهُمْ ۚ سَتُكْتَبُ شَهَٰدَتُهُمْ وَيُسْـَٔلُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And they describe the angels, who are the servants of the Gracious God, as females. Did they witness their creation? Then their testimony will be recorded, and they shall be questioned.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور انہوں نے فرشتوں کو جو رحمان کے بندے ہیں عورتیں (یعنی مورتیاں) بنا رکھا ہے۔ کیا وہ ان کی تخلیق پر گواہ ہیں؟ یقینا ان کی گواہی لکھی جائے گی اور وہ پوچھے جائیں گے۔

Et ils décrivent les anges, qui sont les serviteurs du Dieu Gracieux, comme des femelles. Ont-ils été témoins de leur création ? ! Alors leur témoignage sera inscrit, et ils seront interrogés.

Und sie machen die Engel, die des Gnadenreichen Diener sind, zu weiblichen Wesen. Waren sie etwa Zeugen ihrer Erschaffung? Ihr Zeugnis wird aufgezeichnet, und sie werden befragt werden.

Ed essi considerano femmine gli angeli, che sono i servi del Dio Clemente. Erano forse testimoni alla loro creazione? Allora la loro testimonianza sarà annotata ed essi saranno interrogati a proposito.

Y describen a los ángeles, que son siervos del Dios Clemente, como hembras. ¿Fueron acaso testigos de su creación? Entonces será registrado su testimonio y serán interrogados.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور انہوں نے ملائکہ کو جو رحمن (خدا) کے بندے ہیں عورتیں قرار دے دیا ہے کیا وہ ان کی پیدائش کے وقت موجود تھے؟ اگر یہ بات ہے تو ضرور ان کی شہادت لکھی جائے گی اور ان سے (قیامت کے دن) اس بارہ میں سوال کیا جائے گا۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[a]And they regard as females the angels who are the servants of the Gracious God. Did they witness their creation? Then their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.

English - Five Volume Translation

[a]And they describe the angels, who are the servants of the Gracious God, as females. Did they witness their creation? Then their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.[3654]

Commentary:

The verse does not mean that God is displeased with idolaters because they ascribe to Him daughters rather than sons, for, attributing sons is as hateful to Him as the ascribing of daughters (19:89-93). What the verse means to point out here is that these people ascribe to God what they do not like for themselves.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

انہوں نے فرشتوں کو، جو خدائے رحمان کے خاص بندے ہیں، عورتیں قرار دے لیا کیا اُن کے جسم کی ساخت اِنہوں نے دیکھی ہے؟ اِن کی گواہی لکھ لی جائے گی اور انہیں اس کی جوابدہی کرنی ہو گی

And they have made the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.

اورفرشتوں کو جو رحمان کے بندے ہیں عورتیں فرض کر لیا کیا انھوں نے پیدا ہوتے دیکھا ہے ان کی گواہی لکھی جائے گی اور ان سے پوچھا ئے گا

They claim that angels, who are Allah's chosen servants, are females. Did they witness how their body is constituted? Their testimony shall be written and they shall be called to account.
