وَإِنَّهُۥ لَذِكْرٌ لَّكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ ۖ وَسَوْفَ تُسْـَٔلُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And, truly, it is a source of eminence for thee and for thy people; and you will be inquired about.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور یقیناً یہ تیرے لئے ایک عظیم ذکر ہے اور تیری قوم کے لئے بھی اور تم ضرور پوچھے جاؤگے۔

Et, en vérité, c’est un Rappel pour toi et pour ton peuple ; et vous serez appelés à rendre compte.

Und es ist wahrlich eine Ehre für dich und für dein Volk, und ihr werdet bald gefragt werden.

确实, [a]这 («古兰经») 是你和你民族荣誉[1227] (的源泉), 你们将受到质问。

ذِكْر (Dhikr) 这字的意思是名声显赫 (Lane), 这节经文的大意是说, 穆圣及其信徒通过 «古兰经» 将获得显赫名声及荣耀。

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور یہ (کلام) تیرے لئے بھی شرف اور عزت کا موجب ہے اور تیری قوم کے لئے بھی‘ اور تم سے ضرور تمہارے اعمال کے متعلق سوال کیا جائے گا۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And, truly, [d]this Qur’an is a source of eminence[2681] for thee and for thy people; and you will, surely, be questioned.

21:11; 38:2.

The word Dhikr meaning eminence (Lane), the verse purports to say that through the Qur’an the Holy Prophet and his followers will acquire great eminence and honour.

English - Five Volume Translation

And, truly, [c]it is a source of eminence for thee and for thy people; and you will be inquired about.[3670]

21:11; 38:2.

Commentary:

The word ذکر meaning eminence (Lane), the verse purports to say that through the Quran the Holy Prophet and his followers will acquire great eminence and honour, and the time will soon come when people will enquire about their doings and will seek and get guidance from their precepts and example.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

حقیقت یہ ہے کہ یہ کتاب تمہارے لیے اور تمہاری قوم کے لیے ایک بہت بڑا شرف ہے اور عنقریب تم لوگوں کو اس کی جواب دہی کرنی ہو گی

English - Sahih

And indeed, it is a remembrance for you and your people, and you [all] are going to be questioned.

اور بے شک وہ (قرآن) آپ کے لیے اور آپ کی قوم کے لیے ایک نصیحت ہے اور تم سب سے ا سکی باز پرس ہو گی
