5:37

اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا لَوۡ اَنَّ لَہُمۡ مَّا فِی الۡاَرۡضِ جَمِیۡعًا وَّمِثۡلَہٗ مَعَہٗ لِیَفۡتَدُوۡا بِہٖ مِنۡ عَذَابِ یَوۡمِ الۡقِیٰمَۃِ مَا تُقُبِّلَ مِنۡہُمۡ ۖ وَلَہُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِیۡمٌ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Surely, if those who disbelieve had all that is in the earth and as much over again, to ransom themselves therewith from the punishment of the Day of Resurrection, it would not be accepted from them; and they shall have a painful punishment.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یقیناً وہ لوگ جنہوں نے کفر کیا اگر وہ سب کچھ جو زمین میں ہے اُن کا ہوتا بلکہ اس کے علاوہ اس جیسا اور بھی تاکہ وہ اُسے قیامت کے دن کے عذاب سے بچنے کے لئے فدیہ میں دے سکتے تو بھی ان سے وہ قبول نہ کیا جاتا اور اُن کے لئے بہت دردناک عذاب (مقدر) ہے۔

French

Assurément si ceux qui ne croient pas possédaient tout ce qui se trouve sur la terre, et autant encore, pour se racheter du châtiment du Jour de la Résurrection, cela ne serait pas accepté d’eux ; et ils auront un châtiment douloureux.

German

Wahrlich, die Ungläubigen – hätten sie auch alles, was auf der Erde ist, und dann nochmals so viel, um sich damit von der Strafe loszukaufen am Tage der Auferstehung, es würde doch nicht von ihnen angenommen werden; und ihnen wird eine schmerzliche Strafe.

即使[a]不信的人以大地上的一切及其一倍的东西, 做其复生日惩罚的赎价, 也将不被接受; 他们将遭受痛苦的惩罚。

Certamente, se quelli che non credono avessero tutto quello che è sulla terra e altrettanto ancora, per riscattarsi dal castigo del Giorno della risurrezione, tutto questo non sarebbe accettato; e essi avranno un doloroso castigo.

Spanish

Por cierto que si los incrédulos tuviesen todo lo que hay en la tierra, e incluso otro tanto, para rescatarse con ello del castigo el Día de la Resurrección, no se les aceptaría; y sufrirán un castigo doloroso.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

جو لوگ کافر ہیں اگر زمین میں جو کچھ (بھی پایا جاتا) ہے (وہ) سب اور اتنا (ہی) اس کے ساتھ (اور مال بھی) ان کے پاس ہوتا تاکہ وہ قیامت کے دن کے عذاب کے بدلہ میں اسے دے دیتے تو بھی وہ ان کی طرف سے قبول نہ کیا جاتا اور ان کے لئے دردناک عذاب (مقدر) ہے۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

خوب جان لو کہ جن لوگوں نے کفر کا رویہ اختیار کیا ہے، اگر اُن کے قبضہ میں ساری زمین کی دولت ہو اور اتنی ہی اور اس کے ساتھ، اور وہ چاہیں کہ اسے فدیہ میں دے کر روز قیامت کے عذاب سے بچ جائیں، تب بھی وہ ان سے قبول نہ کی جائے گی اور انہیں درد ناک سزا مل کر رہے گی

English - Sahih

Indeed, those who disbelieve - if they should have all that is in the earth and the like of it with it by which to ransom themselves from the punishment of the Day of Resurrection, it will not be accepted from them, and for them is a painful punishment

بے شک جو لوگ کافر ہیں اگر ان کے پاس دنیا بھر کی چیزیں ہوں اور اس کے ساتھ اتنا ہی اور ہو تاکہ قیامت کے عذاب سے بچنے کے لیے بدلہ میں دیں تو بھی ان سے قبول نہ ہوگا اوران کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے

Indeed, those who disbelieve, if that for them (is) what (is) in the earth all and the like of it with it, to ransom themselves with it, from (the) punishment (of the) Day (of) the Resurrection, not will be accepted from them, and for them (is) a punishment painful.

اردہ تفصیرِ صغیر نوٹس ^*

English - Arberry

The unbelievers, though they possessed all that is in the earth, and the like of it with it, to ransom themselves from the chastisement of the Day of Resurrection thereby, it would not be accepted of them; for them awaits a painful chastisement.

English - Maududi

For those who disbelieved - even if they had all that is in the earth, and the like of it with it, and offered it all as ransom from chastisement on the Day of Resurrection, it will not be accepted of them - a painful chastisement lies in store for them.

English - Ahmed Ali

As for unbelievers, if they possess the riches of the whole earth, and two times more, and offer it as ransom for release from the torments of the Day of Resurrection, it will not be accepted from them, and their punishment will surely be painful.

As to those who reject Faith,- if they had everything on earth, and twice repeated, to give as ransom for the penalty of the Day of Judgment, it would never be accepted of them, theirs would be a grievous penalty.
