۞ اِنَّمَا السَّبِیۡلُ عَلَی الَّذِیۡنَ یَسۡتَـٔۡذِنُوۡنَکَ وَہُمۡ اَغۡنِیَآءُ ۚ رَضُوۡا بِاَنۡ یَّکُوۡنُوۡا مَعَ الۡخَوَالِفِ وَطَبَعَ اللّٰہُ عَلٰی قُلُوۡبِہِمۡ فَہُمۡ لَا یَعۡلَمُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

The cause of reproach is only against those who ask leave of thee, while they are rich. They are content to be with the womenfolk. And Allah has set a seal upon their hearts so that they know not.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

پکڑ کا جواز تو صرف اُن لوگوں کے خلاف ہے جو تجھ سے اجازت مانگتے ہیں حالانکہ وہ دولت مند ہیں۔ وہ اس بات پر راضی ہوگئے کہ وہ پیچھے بیٹھ رہ جانے والی عورتوں کے ساتھ ہوجائیں۔ اور اللہ نے ان کے دلوں پر مہر کر دی۔ پس وہ کوئی علم نہیں رکھتے۔

French

Les reproches sont seulement à l’intention de ceux qui te demandent la permission d’être exemptés, alors qu’ils sont riches. Il leur plaît d’être avec les femmes qui sont restées à l’arrière. Et Allāh leur a scellé le cœur de sorte qu’ils ne savent pas.

German

Vorwurf trifft nur jene, die dich um Erlaubnis bitten, wiewohl sie reich sind. Sie sind es zufrieden, mit den zurückbleibenden (Stämmen) zu sein. Allah hat ein Siegel auf ihre Herzen gelegt, so dass sie nicht wissen.

只有那些富裕而向你请求 (免于参战) 的人, 才是应受谴责的。 [b]他们乐意与留后的妇女同留后方。[c]安拉已封闭了他们的心, 以致他们不知道。

Italian

Sono meritevoli di rimprovero solo coloro che ti chiedono di essere esentati, malgrado siano ricchi. Essi si accontentano di rimanere indietro con le donne. E Allah ha posto un sigillo sul loro cuore, cosicché non sanno.

Spanish

Sólo hay motivo de reproche contra quienes te piden ser eximidos a pesar de ser ricos. Se sienten contentos de quedarse con las mujeres. Pero Al-lah ha puesto un sello en sus corazones para que no lo sepan.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

الزام صرف ان لوگوں پر ہے جو اس حالت میں اجازت مانگتے ہیں کہ وہ مال دار ہوتے ہیں۔ وہ پیچھے بیٹھ رہنے والے قبائل کے ساتھ (بیٹھ رہنے پر) راضی ہو گئے اور اللہ نے ان کے دلوں پر مہر کر دی۔ مگر وہ (ایسے ہیں کہ) سمجھتے ہی نہیں۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

البتہ اعتراض ان لوگوں پر ہے جو مالدار ہیں اور پھر بھی تم سے درخواستیں کرتے ہیں کہ انہیں شرکت جہاد سے معاف رکھا جائے انہوں نے گھر بیٹھنے والیوں میں شامل ہونا پسند کیا اور اللہ نے ان کے دلوں پر ٹھپہ لگا دیا، اس لیے اب یہ کچھ نہیں جانتے (کہ اللہ کے ہاں ان کی روش کا کیا نتیجہ نکلنے والا ہے)

English - Sahih

The cause [for blame] is only upon those who ask permission of you while they are rich. They are satisfied to be with those who stay behind, and Allah has sealed over their hearts, so they do not know.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

الزام ان لوگوں پر ہے جو دولتمند ہیں اورتم سے اجازت طلب کرتے ہیں اس بات سے وہ خوش ہیں کہ پیچھے رہنے والیوں کے ساتھ رہ جائیں اور الله نے ان کے دلوں پر مہر کر دی ہے پس وہ نہیں سمجھتے

English - Talal Itani

Only the way (blame) (is) on those who ask your permission while they (are) rich. They (are) satisfied to be with those who stay behind, and Allah sealed [on] their hearts, so they (do) not know.

اردہ تفصیرِ صغیر نوٹس ^*

English - Arberry

The way is open only against those who ask leave of thee, being rich; they are well-pleased to be with those behind; God has set a seal on their hearts, so they know not.

English - Maududi

But there are grounds for reproach against those who seek leave to stay behind even though they are affluent. They are the ones who were content to be with the womenfolk who stay behind. Allah has set a seal on their hearts, leaving them bereft of understanding.

English - Ahmed Ali

Blame will lie on those who are rich yet ask your leave to stay behind. They prefer to stay with women who stay at home, and God seals their hearts; so they do not understand.

English - Yusuf Ali

The ground (of complaint) is against such as claim exemption while they are rich. They prefer to stay with the (women) who remain behind: Allah hath sealed their hearts; so they know not (What they miss).
