وَجَعَلُوا الۡمَلٰٓئِکَۃَ الَّذِیۡنَ ہُمۡ عِبٰدُ الرَّحۡمٰنِ اِنٰثًا ۚ اَشَہِدُوۡا خَلۡقَہُمۡ ۚ سَتُکۡتَبُ شَہٰدَتُہُمۡ وَیُسۡـَٔلُوۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And they describe the angels, who are the servants of the Gracious God, as females. Did they witness their creation? Then their testimony will be recorded, and they shall be questioned.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور انہوں نے فرشتوں کو جو رحمان کے بندے ہیں عورتیں (یعنی مورتیاں) بنا رکھا ہے۔ کیا وہ ان کی تخلیق پر گواہ ہیں؟ یقینا ان کی گواہی لکھی جائے گی اور وہ پوچھے جائیں گے۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور انہوں نے ملائکہ کو جو رحمن (خدا) کے بندے ہیں عورتیں قرار دے دیا ہے کیا وہ ان کی پیدائش کے وقت موجود تھے؟ اگر یہ بات ہے تو ضرور ان کی شہادت لکھی جائے گی اور ان سے (قیامت کے دن) اس بارہ میں سوال کیا جائے گا۔

Commentary:
The verse does not mean that God is displeased with idolaters because they ascribe to Him daughters rather than sons, for, attributing sons is as hateful to Him as the ascribing of daughters (19:89-93). What the verse means to point out here is that these people ascribe to God what they do not like for themselves.

انہوں نے فرشتوں کو، جو خدائے رحمان کے خاص بندے ہیں، عورتیں قرار دے لیا کیا اُن کے جسم کی ساخت اِنہوں نے دیکھی ہے؟ اِن کی گواہی لکھ لی جائے گی اور انہیں اس کی جوابدہی کرنی ہو گی
