يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتِى وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا ۚ قَالُوا۟ شَهِدْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِنَا ۖ وَغَرَّتْهُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَشَهِدُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ كَٰفِرِينَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
‘O company of Jinn and men! did not Messengers come to you from among yourselves who related to you My Signs and who warned you of the meeting of this your day?’ They will say, ‘We bear witness against ourselves.’ And the worldly life deceived them. And they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.

اے جنوں اور عوام الناس کے گروہو! کیا تمہارے پاس تم ہی میں سے رسول نہیں آئے جو تمہارے سامنے میری آیات بیان کیا کرتے تھے اور تمہیں تمہاری اِس دن کی ملاقات سے ڈرایا کرتے تھے؟ تو وہ کہیں گے کہ (ہاں) ہم اپنے ہی نفوس کے خلاف گواہی دیتے ہیں۔ اور انہیں دنیا کی زندگی نے دھوکہ میں مبتلا کر دیا تھا اور وہ خود اپنے خلاف گواہی دیں گے کہ وہ کفر کرنے والے تھے۔

» Ô compagnie des djinns et des hommes ! Des Messagers choisis parmi vous ne sont-ils pas venus auprès de vous, vous raconter Mes Signes, et vous prévenir de la rencontre de votre jour que voici ? » Ils diront : « Nous portons témoignage contre nous-mêmes. » Et la vie temporelle les a trompés. Et ils rendront témoignage contre eux-mêmes qu’ils étaient mécréants.

O Zunft der Jinn und der Menschen! Sind nicht Gesandte zu euch gekommen aus eurer Mitte, die euch Meine Zeichen berichteten und euch warnten vor dem Eintreffen dieses eures Tages? اے جنوں اور انسانوں کی جماعت! کیا تم میں سے (ہی) تمہارے پاس رسول نہیں آئے جو تمہیں میری آیات پڑھ کر سناتے تھے اور تمہیں آج کے دن کی ملاقات سے ڈراتے تھے۔ وہ کہیں گے کہ ہم اپنے خلاف (خود) گواہی دیتے ہیں۔ اور ورلی زندگی نے انہیں دھوکے میں ڈال دیا اور انہوں نے اپنے خلاف (آپ یہ) گواہی دی کہ وہ کافر تھے۔

Commentary:
The words, Messengers from among yourselves, supply further evidence of the fact that the word jinn does not here refer to a separate creation but to only a section of human beings. We learn from the Quran that Moses and the Holy Prophet were sent as Messengers to jinn also (46:30-33; 72:2-16) and we find no trace of any separate Messengers having ever been raised from among jinn, which shows that the word jinn here refers only to a special class of men. It may also be noted here that this word when applied to the great and powerful persons from among men is generally used in a bad sense, being applied to the wicked among them.

(اس موقع پر اللہ ان سے پوچھے گا کہ) "اے گروہ جن وانس، کیا تمہارے پاس خود تم ہی میں سے وہ پیغمبر نہیں آئے تھے جو تم کو میری آیات سناتے اور اِس دن کے انجام سے ڈراتے تھے؟" وہ کہیں گے "ہاں، ہم اپنے خلاف خود گواہی دیتے ہیں" آج دنیا کی زندگی نے اِن لوگوں کو دھوکے میں ڈال رکھا ہے، مگر اُس وقت وہ خود اپنے خلاف گواہی دیں گے کہ وہ کافر تھے

"O company of jinn and mankind, did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "We bear witness against ourselves"; and the worldly life had deluded them, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.

And those who disbelieve will be driven to Hell in troops until, when they reach it, its gates will be opened, and its Keepers will say to them: ‘Did not Messengers from among yourselves come to you, reciting unto you the Signs of your Lord, and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?’ They will say, ‘Yea, but the sentence of punishment has become justly due against the disbelievers.’

اور وہ لوگ جنہوں نے کفر کیا گروہ در گروہ جہنم کی طرف ہانکے جائیں گے۔ یہاں تک کہ جب وہ اس کے پاس آجائیں گے اس کے دروازے کھول دیئے جائیں گے اور اس کے داروغے ان سے کہیں گے کیا تمہارے پاس تم ہی میں سے رسول نہیں آئے تھے جو تم پر تمہارے ربّ کی آیات کی تلاوت کرتے تھے اور تمہیں تمہارے اِس دن کی لقا سے ڈرایا کرتے تھے؟ وہ کہیں گے کیوں نہیں۔ لیکن عذاب کا فرمان کافروں پر یقیناً صادق آگیا۔

Et ceux qui ne croient pas seront poussés en troupes vers l’Enfer, jusqu’à ce qu’ils y arrivent ; alors ses portes seront ouvertes, et ses Gardiens leur diront : « Des Messagers, de parmi vous-mêmes, ne vous sont-ils pas venus, vous récitant les Signes de votre Seigneur, et vous avertissant de la rencontre de votre jour que voici ? » lls diront : « Si ; » mais le décret du châtiment devait se réaliser contre les mécréants.

Commentary:
This and the next few verses deal with the end and destiny of both believers and disbelievers. The disbelievers end by burning in the fire of frustration, failure and regrets in this world, and in the fire of Hell in the next world.

(اِس فیصلہ کے بعد) وہ لوگ جنہوں نے کفر کیا تھا جہنم کی طرف گروہ در گروہ ہانکے جائیں گے، یہاں تک کہ جب وہ وہاں پہنچیں گے تو اس کے دروازے کھولے جائیں گے اور اُس کے کارندے ان سے کہیں گے "کیا تمہارے پاس تمہارے اپنے لوگوں میں سے ایسے رسول نہیں آئے تھے، جنہوں نے تم کو تمہارے رب کی آیات سنائی ہوں اور تمہیں اس بات سے ڈرایا ہو کہ ایک وقت تمہیں یہ دن بھی دیکھنا ہوگا؟" وہ جواب دیں گے "ہاں، آئے تھے، مگر عذاب کا فیصلہ کافروں پر چپک گیا"

They shall say, 'Yes indeed; but the word of the chastisement has been realized against the unbelievers.'
