۞ قُلْ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَكْفُرُونَ بِٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَرْضَ فِى يَوْمَيْنِ وَتَجْعَلُونَ لَهُۥٓ أَندَادًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
要概括这 “两天” 的长短是不可能的。它也许可延伸至数千年之久。在 «古兰经» 中, 即使 يَوْم (Yaum, 一天) 也说成是等于一千年 (22:48), 甚至相等于五万年 (70:5)。两天创造大地之说可意指大地在冷却并凝结之后由混沌一团演变成形的两个阶段。
It is not possible to surmise as to the length of these 'two days.' They may have extended over thousands of years. Even in the Qur’an Yaum (day) has been spoken of as equal to a thousand years (22:48), or even equal to fifty thousand years (70:5). اِس آیت سے یہ اشارہ نکلتا ہے کہ ایک زمانہ میں زمین کو پوری غذا پیدا کرنے کے قابل نہیں سمجھا جائے گا۔ مگر اللہ تعالیٰ اس کا رد کرتا ہے اور فرماتا ہے ہم نے زمین میں ایسے سامان پیدا کر دئیے ہیں جن کی وجہ سے وہ حسبِ ضرورت غذا دے گی۔ خواہ زمین سے نکال کر‘ یا نئی غذا کے ایجاد ہونے سے‘ یا آسمانی شعاعوں کی مدد سے۔
مطلب یہ ہے کہ لاکھ آدمی بھی سوال کریں تو ہمارا جواب یہی ہوگا۔ چنانچہ غذا کا مسئلہ دنیا میں کوئی دو سو سال سے مختلف ممالک میں زیر بحث چلا آرہا ہے سب کو اوپر کا جواب پڑھنا چاہیے کہ یہ خداتعالیٰ کا فیصلہ ہے۔ ایک دفعہ مسٹر کپور جو پنجاب یونیورسٹی کے پروفیسر غذا تھے مجھ سے ملنے کے لئے قادیان آئے اور میں نے قرآنی آیات سے ان کو غذا کا معاملہ سمجھایا تو بہت حیران ہوئے اور خواہش کی کہ یہ آیات مجھے لکھ دی جائیں چنانچہ مَیں نے ان کو لکھوا دیں۔

The expression, 'alike for all seekers,' may signify that the foods which God has provided in the earth are equally accessible to all seekers who try to get them according to the laws of nature. It may also mean that all the physical needs and requirements of man have been adequately met in the foods that grow out of earth. His life has a grim purpose and a great mission. He has been created to develop and manifest in himself, on human scale, Divine attributes in order to prove himself to be God’s vicegerent on earth. To help him to achieve this supreme and noble object, God sent His Messengers. These Divine Messengers came to all peoples in different periods of time. Invariably they were rejected by their peoples and the rejecters met with a sad fate. The Holy Prophet is asked to warn his own people that if they rejected and opposed him, they, too, will meet with no better fate. The verse under comment cites the examples of ‘Ad and Thamud who by rejecting their Prophets incurred God’s displeasure and punishment.

فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِىٓ أَيَّامٍ نَّحِسَاتٍ لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْخِزْىِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَخْزَىٰ ۖ وَهُمْ لَا يُنصَرُونَ

نـحسات (ominous) is the plural of نـحسة which is derived from نـحس which means, he or it was or became un-prosperous, unfortunate, inauspicious or unlucky. نـحس (nahsun) means, ill-luck; great injury; cold wind; یوم نـحس means, an inauspicious or cold day (Lane & Aqrab).
