2:20

أَوْ كَصَيِّبٍ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فِيهِ ظُلُمَٰتٌ وَرَعْدٌ وَبَرْقٌ يَجْعَلُونَ أَصَٰبِعَهُمْ فِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِم مِّنَ ٱلصَّوَٰعِقِ حَذَرَ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ مُحِيطٌۢ بِٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

Allah / Encompasses The DisbelieversDarkness / Spiritual, (Zulumat, Lail)Fear / Cast Into DisbelieversHeaven (Sama’) / As A RoofParable Of / Rain & LightningRainDisbelief (Kufr)Ears / Of DisbelieversHypocrites (Munafiqin)
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Or it is like a heavy rain from the clouds, wherein is thick darkness and thunder and lightning; they put their fingers into their ears because of the thunderclaps for fear of death, and Allah encompasses the disbelievers.
2:23

ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ فِرَٰشًا وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بِنَآءً وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ رِزْقًا لَّكُمْ ۖ فَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ أَندَادًا وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

Agriculture / Allah Sends Down Water ForAllah / Favours OfAllah / None To Be Worshipped ExceptAllah / Provides And FeedsEarth (Al-Ard) / Abode OnHeaven (Sama’) / Sustenance, Water, FromHeaven (Sama’) / As A RoofScience / Origin, CreationScience / Upper AtmosphereSustenanceUniverse / Creation OfWater (Ma’) / Sent From Heaven
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Who made the earth a bed for you, and the heaven a roof, and caused water to come down from the clouds and therewith brought forth fruits for your sustenance. Set not up, therefore, equals to Allah, while you know.
13:3

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى رَفَعَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا ۖ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ يَجْرِى لِأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ۚ يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ يُفَصِّلُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّكُمْ تُوقِنُونَ

Ajal (Musamma), FixedAllah / Existence OfAllah / Favours OfAllah / Regulates All AffairsAllah / Throne Of‘Arsh / Throne Of AllahHeaven (Sama’) / As A RoofIstawa / Firmly SettledMoonPillarsPlanetsSigns / Of CreationSun / And Moon
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Allah is He Who raised up the heavens without any pillars that you can see. Then He settled Himself on the Throne. And He pressed the sun and the moon into service: each pursues its course until an appointed term. He regulates it all. He clearly explains the Signs, that you may have a firm belief in the meeting with your Lord.
21:33

وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ سَقْفًا مَّحْفُوظًا ۖ وَهُمْ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِهَا مُعْرِضُونَ

CanopyHeaven (Sama’) / As A RoofPlanetsScience / Upper AtmosphereSigns / Of CreationAllah / Favours OfSolar System
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And We have made the heaven a roof, well protected; yet they turn away from its Signs.
22:66

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلْفُلْكَ تَجْرِى فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَيُمْسِكُ ٱلسَّمَآءَ أَن تَقَعَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِٱلنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Allah / Favours OfEarth (Al-Ard) / Creations OnHeaven (Sama’)Heaven (Sama’) / As A RoofMan / All Subordinated ToPermission / Leave, (Idhn) / Of AllahSea / Body Of Water, (Bahr) / Ships Sail On
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Hast thou not seen that Allah has subjected to you whatever is in the earth, and the ships that sail through the sea by His command? And He withholds the rain from falling on the earth save by His leave. Surely, Allah is Compassionate and Merciful to men.
31:11

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا ۖ وَأَلْقَىٰ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ رَوَٰسِىَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍ ۚ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ

Allah / Created Heavens And EarthAllah / Existence OfAnimals (Dabbah), (An‘am) / Beneficial For ManDabbatul-Ard / Creatures, BeastsDescend (Nuzul)Earth (Al-Ard) / Creations OnHeaven (Sama’) / As A RoofMountains (Jibal) / Created For ManPillarsScience / Mountains
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
He has created the heavens without any pillars that you can see, and He has placed in the earth firm mountains that it may not quake with you, and He has scattered therein all kinds of creatures; and We have sent down water from the clouds, and caused to grow therein every noble species.
40:65

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ قَرَارًا وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بِنَآءً وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ ۖ فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Allah / Favours OfAllah / Provides And FeedsAttributes Of Allah / Rabbul-‘alamin (Lord Of All The Worlds)Attributes Of Allah / Tabarakallah (Blessed)Barakah (Blessings) / All From AllahCanopyEarth (Al-Ard) / Abode OnHeaven (Sama’) / As A RoofPure
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Allah it is Who has made for you the earth a resting-place, and the heaven a canopy, and has given you shape and made your shapes perfect, and has provided you with good things. Such is Allah, your Lord. So blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
52:6

وَٱلسَّقْفِ ٱلْمَرْفُوعِ

CanopyHeaven (Sama’) / Sustenance, Water, FromHeaven (Sama’) / As A RoofMoses / Musa(as) / TabernacleMoses / Musa(as) / And Holy Prophet(sa)Oaths (Yamin) / Of AllahOaths (Yamin) / Quranic

And by the elevated Roof;
78:13

وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا

CosmologyHeaven (Sama’) / As A RoofSeven / Or SeventySolar SystemAllah / Favours OfMan / Abode On Earth

And We have built over you seven strong heavens;
79:29

رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا

88:19

وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ
