وَتَرٰٮہُمۡ یُعۡرَضُوۡنَ عَلَیۡہَا خٰشِعِیۡنَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ یَنۡظُرُوۡنَ مِنۡ طَرۡفٍ خَفِیٍّ ۗ وَقَالَ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِنَّ الۡخٰسِرِیۡنَ الَّذِیۡنَ خَسِرُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَہُمۡ وَاَہۡلِیۡہِمۡ یَوۡمَ الۡقِیٰمَۃِ ۗ اَلَاۤ اِنَّ الظّٰلِمِیۡنَ فِیۡ عَذَابٍ مُّقِیۡمٍ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And thou wilt see them brought before it (the Fire), casting down their eyes on account of disgrace, looking thereat with a stealthy glance. And those who believe will say, ‘The losers indeed are those who ruin themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection.’ Behold! the wrongdoers are to remain in a lasting punishment.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور تو اُنہیں دیکھے گا کہ وہ اس (عذاب) کے سامنے پیش کئے جائیں گے۔ ذلّت کی وجہ سے نہایت عاجزانہ حالت میں۔ وہ نظر خفی سے (اُسے) دیکھ رہے ہوں گے۔ اور وہ لوگ جو ایمان لائے، کہیں گے کہ یقیناً گھاٹا پانے والے تو وہی ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے آپ کو اور اپنے اہل و عیال کو قیامت کے دن گھاٹے میں ڈالا۔ خبردار یقیناً ظلم کرنے والے ایک ٹھہر جانے والے عذاب میں مبتلا ہوں گے۔
French
Et tu les verras confrontés au châtiment, la tête baissée à cause de la disgrâce, le regardant à la dérobée. Et ceux qui croient diront : « En vérité, les perdants sont ceux qui ont causé leur propre ruine et celle de leurs familles le Jour de la Résurrection. » Notez bien ! Les injustes devront rester dans un châtiment d’une longue durée.

Und du wirst sie ihr ausgesetzt sehen, gedemütigt ob der Schmach, mit verstohlenem Blicke schauend. Die aber gläubig sind, werden sprechen: "Fürwahr, die Verlierenden sind diejenigen, die sich selbst und ihre Angehörigen verlieren am Tage der Auferstehung." Höret! die Frevler sind wahrlich in langdauernder Pein.

你将看见他们面临刑罚, 羞辱地垂目偷视。[1213]信仰者将说: “失败的人确是那些在复生日毁灭他们自己和自己家属的人。” 要留心! 不义的人将在长久的惩罚中。
偷看是罪人因自己的罪行被押来听候判刑时的眼色。
Italian
E li vedrai, mentre saranno condotti davanti al fuoco, abbassare gli occhi per l'umiliazione, e gettare sguardi furtivi su di esso. E quelli che credono diranno: «È proprio vero: i perdenti sono quelli che rovinano sé stessi e le loro famiglie nel Giorno della risurrezione.» Ecco! I malvagi devono subire un castigo duraturo.
Spanish
Y los verás conducidos ante él (el Fuego), bajando sus ojos en razón de su humillación y observándolo con una mirada furtiva. Mas quienes creen dirán: “Los perdedores son en verdad quienes se arruinan a sí mismos y a sus familias en el Día de la Resurrección. “¡Mirad! Los injustos habrán de permanecer en un castigo duradero”.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور تو ان کو دیکھے گا کہ وہ اس عذاب کے سامنے پیش کیے جائیں گے اور ذلت کی وجہ سے سر جھکائے ہوئے نیچی نگاہوں سے دیکھ رہے ہوں گے اور مومن کہیں گے کہ اصل گھاٹا پانے والے وہی ہیں جنہوں نے اپنی جانوں اور اہل و عیال کو قیامت کے دن گھاٹے میں ڈالا۔ کان کھول کر سن لو! ظالم لوگ ایک قائم رہنے والے عذاب میں ہوں گے۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
And thou wilt see them brought before the Fire, casting down their eyes in humiliation, looking at it with a furtive glance.[2663] And those who believe will say, ‘The losers, indeed, are those who ruin themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection.’ Behold! the wrongdoers will remain in a lasting punishment.
The furtive glance is the glance of a guilty person who is hauled up for his crimes and is waiting to hear the sentence passed against him.

And thou wilt see them brought before it (the Fire), casting down their eyes on account of disgrace, looking at it with a furtive glance. اردو ترجمہ مودودی
اور تم دیکھو گے کہ یہ جہنم کے سامنے جب لائے جائیں گے تو ذلت کے مارے جھکے جا رہے ہوں گے اور اُس کو نظر بچا بچا کر کن آنکھیوں سے دیکھیں گے اُس وقت وہ لوگ جو ایمان لائے تھے کہیں گے کہ واقعی اصل زیاں کار وہی ہیں جنہوں نے آج قیامت کے دن اپنے آپ کو اور اپنے متعلقین کو خسارے میں ڈال دیا خبردار رہو، ظالم لوگ مستقل عذاب میں ہوں گے
English - Sahih
And you will see them being exposed to the Fire, humbled from humiliation, looking from [behind] a covert glance. And those who had believed will say, "Indeed, the [true] losers are the ones who lost themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, the wrongdoers are in an enduring punishment."

اور آپ انہیں دیکھیں گے کہ وہ دوزخ کے سامنے لائے جائيں گے ایسے حال میں ذلت کے مارے جھکے ہوئے ہوں گے چھپی نگاہ سے دیکھ رہے ہوں گے اور وہ لوگ کہیں گے جو ایمان لائے تھے بے شک خسارہ اٹھانے والے وہی لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے آپ کو اوراپنے گھر والوں کو قیامت کے دن خسارہ میں رکھا خبردار بے شک ظالم ہی ہمیشہ عذاب میں ہوں گے

And you will see them being exposed to it, humbled by disgrace, looking with a glance stealthy. And will say those who believed, "Indeed, the losers (are) those who lost themselves and their families (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection. Unquestionably! And thou shalt see them, as they are exposed to it, abject in humbleness, looking with furtive glance; and the believers shall say, 'Surely the losers are they who lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection; surely the evildoers are in lasting chastisement.

You shall see them, as they are brought face to face with the chastisement, in a state of abject humiliation, looking with a furtive glance. But the believers will say: “Surely the true losers are they who lose themselves and their kindred on the Day of Resurrection.” Lo, the wrong-doers will be in an enduring torment.

You should see them brought before the Fire, abject in disgrace, looking stealthily. And those who believe will say: "They who forfeit their souls and families on the Day of Resurrection will really be losers." Is it not that sinners will suffer a lasting torment?
